He's demanding a release from the Broncos due to his non-use. His YPC aren't that bad and he's a better option than Ridley. Bell makes me nervous come playoffs. I wouldn't mind having a proven guy backing him up.

I read that too and my initial thought was he's better than Ridley. But the guy has a history of fumbleitis if I remember correctly, plus Vance said the thought of releasing him never crosses his mind.

In a NYC minute over the back ups we have now. I watch a little of Charles this season and he still shows something. Not to mention him and LB are the same type backs that work for this offense.

Yes.

Haley actually used him very effectively. Of course, Charles was younger then... but, Charles is better than Ridley.

Yup. That would be a total no brainer.

Jamaal Charles has more talent in his right big toe than Ridley has in his entire body. Of course I'm exaggerating, but if Charles is healthy, I would take my chances with him any day.

He would also be a great contrast to Bell in running styles. I don't know how much speed he has lost, but if he is 90% of what he was, he is still faster and better than most.

Would Charles need a "buffer" to keep Haley out of his jockstrap? Saxon would need some extra pay. :chuckle:

I live in Denver, and whenever he played more than a couple snaps he did well, that is saying a lot with Denver's mess of an OLine. CJ Anderson was just better cause he can run ppl over that weren't blocked (Denver was stupid for getting away from the run game, their coaching is garbage). Charles would definitely be an upgrade, but I doubt it will happen.

I’d take Charles and release Fitz or Ridley.
