This picture might be the worst looking optics I've ever seen for a play of such importance. So many things wrong; not the least of which is Bell just standing there.

EDIT: Picture keeps appearing then disappearing so I changed my signature pic to that abysmal image.

The last two offensive plays were horrible.

The throw to Heyward-Bey inbounds was stupid. You throw it in the endzone or out of bounds.

It’s not showing up...

Is this a picture of a polar bear in a blizzard?

I'll try to fix. I think the picture was intercepted by the Pats.

Now Ben is throwing the coaches under the bus for telling him not to spike it and kill the clock. Gimme a break! #1 there was plenty of time to run a play. No coach clocks it under those conditions. #2 YOU threw a ridiculous pass into triple coverage as if you couldn't live to play another down. It's stuff like that about Ben that turns me off.

Honestly, I'd think Bell just standing there is part of the plan. If he suddenly sprinted out, it's signify to the entire defense that a play was being ran. Sure, in the picture, it looks as though he'd have a TD, but this play was probably put into place in training camp.

That last part made me lol. You may be right about Bell, but I think he was just confused like everyone else. Just look at what Ben is staring at as he throws that ball.

That play is supposed to be a fade. Rogers ran a slant instead.

Was that Rogers mistake or the play design?

Rogers mistake from what I've read. That's why Ben was confused and had to wait so long to throw it.

It was a good idea, but Ben should have thrown it away as nobody was open.

Ben never gives up on a play. Sometimes it bites us in the ass.

This

And this.

Of course, that's also what has won us so many games, so it's a risk I'm willing to take, but you're absolutely right it has a downside.

That play has worked before and I think it was AB who caught it.

Exactly what I said in another thread. You take the good with the bad with Ben.

Then that falls on Ben for not playing it safe imo.

No. It falls on Rogers for, once again, not running the correct route. Back to the bench.

Ben should recognize that and throw it away.

I'm less interested in why it was called or who ran where, than how the ball apparently hit the defender in the back as he was making a tackle on Rogers, and why that wouldn't be the most obvious penalty ever.
