We won’t see Andrew Luck suiting up on Sunday for the Colts... and likely will never suit up for them ever again (and maybe not for any team).

Irsay’s comments about Luck suggest that he is trade bait. Unfortunately for Luck, he may never play again.

My guess: Luck gets traded to the Broncos and wins a championship.

It worked before, when the Colts lost Elway to the Broncos.
And, when the Colts lost Manning to the Broncos.
And again, when the Colts lose Luck... to the Broncos.

Luck has been ruined by that crapfest of a franchise. It is a shame. He really was one of the greatest QB prospects to ever come into the league and due to mismanagement, terrible drafting, and being an overall pack of idiots that has only been surpassed by the Browns -- football fans will never know what Luck really could have been.

These idiots had him play with a torn up shoulder for over 2 years. Look at that roster, they weren't winning anything! Everyone associated with that should be fired.

But the owner is a drugged out loon. Second or third worst franchise in the league.

THey will beat us on Sunday behind an array of random deep balls from Jacoby Brisset.

Do you really think that? I think we're going to mop the floor with them. The last 18 games the Steelers are 15-3. I think this whole thing about them playing down to their competition is overblown.

What if a receiver drops a TD pass in the end zone or Bell gets hurt early in the game - will that be on Ben or the coaches as well? :noidea:

16-3 in the last 19 and 9-2 on the road. A win is a win, there are always things to be worked on. The tackling today was terrible in the first half and the first series of the second half. If we make those tackles thats several first downs and a couple big plays that don't happen. Those things have a direct impact on the final score. We are closer to greatness than suckiness that's undeniable.

I'm sure the coaches will be preparing this week to try and not piss off any fans. We went 1-0 today. The score does not reflect how badly outmatched the Colts were. We only played with half-assed effort and we won, on the road. We missed on a tying FG, had an PAT blocked and nearly gave up the safety on that, and on the 1 big play the Colts did have offensively, it was because our guy messed up. That is a valid point.

Except... I have seen flashes from BB (looking like an “elite” QB). BB playing with even slightly better is the difference between the first half of the Colts game (3 points) and the second half (17 points). That alone should move this offense’s needle up.

I don’t even need to to go into “what if” with Bryant. But, it is true: “if” he turns it around, it could be the difference of 3 ppg. That is not wishful thinking either; just two seasons ago, he was the difference of 7 ppg.

We only played with half-assed effort and we won, on the road. We missed on a tying FG, had an PAT blocked and nearly gave up the safety on that, and on the 1 big play the Colts did have offensively, it was because our guy messed up. They did not harass us at all. It was the players that played down, it was the coaches that got in their collective asses and won this game. IF?

Thanks, for proving my point. Although in a different way, you said exactly how they played DOWN and unprepared. To answer how many points would make me happy, there isn't a 'set' amount of points per say, but when we play teams we are supposed to beat handily I expect just that. Coming off a BYE there is NO excuse for player's to have a 'no game feeling' as was said by a player. That falls on the coaches and readiness for play. I hate the Patriots....but they usually take care of business every Sunday ..... especially on lesser teams...on road or in their house.

To return from a bye in the regular season is not the same advantage as it was before 2011(before the new CBA) since when you have a bye in the regular season the players are in vacations for a few days.

It's like that for each team.

I understand what you're saying, but the season is still going on. It's up to the players and coaches (team) to maintain their mindset and body. Sure, do some resting of the injuries and 'sore' spots and prepare to return back to work full force. All the more reason to be able to come back to game putting a hurt on the opponent that isn't rested. BYE weeks doesn't mean you can't watch films and still prepare.

The players can't when you are in vacations!

Patriots were coming off a bye last night in Denver and did not play in a daze in the first half

Of course, but we must not think that a bye in the regular season is a big advantage as it was before 2011.

Andy Reid was undefeated after a bye in regular season before 2011 and since Reid has like 2 or 3 defeats after a bye.

Excellent point ! Thanks. And don't forget they WERE playing in Denver too. BYE just means 'no' game, you can still get your shit together and work on any issues or weakness. Vacation is after the season, which for some teams are earlier than other teams.

For the pats, congratulations for yesterday, but last year one of their two defeats were after a bye ..... In 2011, during a rare win for the steelers against Brady, the pats also came back from a bye.

Each team is on vacation during their bye, not just the steelers.

You are actually missing the point entirely. 1-0 this week. Even with bad play, 1-0 this week. The rest DOES NOT MATTER.

Conveniently he only entered the protocol after the game....during the game he was fine?

This whole thing is such total BS.

When will Haley enter concussion protocol?

You have to have a brain to evaluate to get in the protocol.

So Haley doesn't qualify.

Maybe we could just zip him up in the tent and not let him out. I'm quite sure he couldn't find his way out with a pocket knife.

I am over Haley's ego problem. It isn't the Pittsburgh Haleys and Todd certainly is not or ever was a QB. He needs to support the players instead of hammering on them. If I can see stupid crap on television I can only imagine how amped up it is on the field.

I would send him to Cleveland tonight if I knew we wouldn't need to use a new playbook midway through the season.

You’re right. I’d rather have a coach like Marvin Lewis who shows no emotion.

Coaches should yell at players and other coaches when necessary...how do you know it wasn’t warranted?

Funny, that Caldwell meme reminds me of an old GQ interview with Nebraska coach Tom Osborne. After several photos of a blank stare, the photographer asked Coach Osborne for a smile and his response......"what do you think I am, a contortionist"?
