Just because SD shows some isolated plays where he does or doesn't get open is not necessarily indicative of his regular play. You're saying both that he's playing well and also he's not getting open. For a WR those descriptions are mutually exclusive of one another.

Lol....you couldn’t be more wrong. A player can play well and not get the ball thrown to him or be a great blocker or contribute in other ways. It’s pointless to argue with you because you think the receivers only job is to run a route and catch a pass and if he doesn’t, he’s not playing well. As for SD, that’s just one example to prove the point. If you watch the videos on SD or do some of your own research, you can see it for yourself but you clearly chose to just look at him closed minded and that’s fine. That’s what you want to do. I prefer to look at as much as I can to formulate my opinions...even if that means mine change which in this case it has.

Find me some tape where he’s playing poorly then we can continue.

Please don't change the narrative midstream. You said that he was playing well but not getting open. If what we're talking about is blocking then JuJu is much better than MB. But I don't think everyone on this board was clammoring in the preseason to see Bryant's blocking lol. A deep threat who does not get open (your assessment not mine) is not playing well IMO. We'll agree to disagree.

Lol. I never changed the narrative. It’s been that way since the beginning. It’s all right there earlier in this thread and the other and no one has been debating who is better between JuJu and Bryant.

He’s been open a couple times and was over thrown. Was that his fault? The one on Sunday where he didn’t locate the ball was his mistake. He was supposed to turn around at 10 Yards and didn’t turn around until 15-20. He probably could’ve adjusted and made that catch or maybe it was thrown to the wrong shoulder. It was a miscommunication between Ben and Bryant.

The only stance I took was that i wouldn’t cut Bryant or trade him because his on field play has been good for the most part.

He got open in the 2nd half last week and there was a ball he just coasted on. Maybe he didn't see it in the sun, or whatever, but he looked open and it looked like he could have got to the ball if he didn't slow down.

At the end of the day, he is complaining that he isn't getting as many touches as a rookie 2nd round pick. The solution is for the 4th year veteran with all this talent to go out and out work the rookie, not to out complain everybody.

I am fine with keeping him, as he isn't expensive as a contract, but if somebody offered a trade that made sense, I would take it. He doesn't have the attitude that fits with the team culture.

That’s the one he didn’t know was coming because he didn’t turn soon enough. I wouldn’t say he coasted, he didn’t locate the ball. That, according to Ben was a miscommunication and was Bryant’s bad. He was also open several times and Ben didn’t look his way. One was on the Grimble reception that brought up 4th down while Bryantbwas open passed the first down marker. That’s not Bryant’s fault.

Steelers (http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/pit) coach Mike Tomlin told ESPN he cannot update Martavis Bryant (http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/16886/martavis-bryant)'s status for after this week....

When asked how he feels about his receiving corps minus Bryant, Tomlin said, "I feel awesome."

Bryant told ESPN he caught about 30 passes against the first-team defense as part of the scout team this week. He says he expects to travel with the team to Detroit and is prepared to watch the game from the sideline....

It appears Bryant has not lost the locker room. Wide receiver Antonio Brown (http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/13934/antonio-brown) is ready to welcome him back.

"I think guys trust him," Brown said Friday. "I just think he's got to earn his way back."

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21185512/pittsburgh-steelers-coach-mike-tomlin-says-cannot-update-martavis-bryant-status-week

So when asked how he feels about his receiving corps without Bryant ESPN expected Tomlin to say "we are so fucked"? :noidea:

Possible explanation for Bryant acting out now that he cannot take the edge off a stressful situation without getting suspended again.

New research from Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, suggests anxiety may be a major risk factor of problematic marijuana use in early adulthood....

27 percent of persistent users reported anxiety disorders as children and 23 percent reported anxiety disorders as older teens or during college years (up to age 21).

This group also had the highest levels of psychiatric disorders.

Bryant could be put (or already may be) on meds for that but prescription meds have their side effects.

Don't worry about it. We're just joking about another thread.

I still screw up from time to time too.

Hopefully, Bryant is just smart enough to not say anything bad about JuJu tonight on social media!

Too bad Martavis is such a moron. Too bad for him that is.

Good for us, though.

If his TD of 97 yards was only a 20-yard gain, JuJu would still had over 100 yards, so it was not only one play that JuJu did in this game.

They sure didn't have any problems getting their receivers open tonight. Our pass coverage scheme is the fix for any passing game...lol

Hopefully he congratulates him on a pretty good game. It would have been an excellent game, if not for the dropped pass.

And his role in the celebration after Bell's TD :chuckle:

Loser: JuJu Smith-Schuster
The Steelers rookie is breaking out (https://www.theringer.com/2017/4/25/16043350/juju-smith-schuster-2017-nfl-draft-usc-wide-receiver-curse-e8d0256f7c1), and not just because he had 193 receiving yards and a 97-yard touchdown against the Lions on Sunday Night Football. He’s also the NFL’s most celebrated celebrator. He began the year rolling dice (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2733681-pittsburgh-steelers-roll-dice-to-celebrate-juju-smith-schusters-first-td); fulfilled a childhood dream with a Dragon Ball Z “Kamekameha!” (https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2017/10/2/16395474/week-4-winners-and-losers), and his hide-and-seek game was probably the most popular celebration of the season (https://www.sbnation.com/2017/10/22/16516884/leveon-bell-juju-smith-schuster-hide-and-seek-celebration-steelers).

Sunday? He got to be a bench:

924811293214752770
The NFL’s players have become great actors this season, but I think Smith-Schuster is the first person asked to play an inanimate object. The Eagles didn’t have somebody pretend to be a bat or a ball when they hit a home run (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgKimM7OWxc); none of the Packers were the bobsled when they went bobsledding (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-io-VtyBPM). Not only did Smith-Schuster have to be lifeless, he actually got sat upon as part of his role....
I’m worried that JuJu is getting squeezed out of the acting gigs he deserves. Clearly, he’s a star, and the Steelers are casting him in back-end-of-a-two-person-horse roles.
