Yep that was crap and never seen any officials call a penalty after seeing instant replay. Most likely the officials are not allowed to do it but they did Sunday!

I'm sure that the league won't do a damn thing to them.

Only a fine to Tomlin!
It benefits the home team because they control the jumbotron.

Bingo.
They did not replay the play where AB drew a PI (when the corner had grabbed his hand). In turn, the crowd booed (and booed).

Oh. From the thread title I didn't realize they meant Gay's last name rather than the adjective, but I suppose either one would have been accurate.

Also replay benefits the home team if they want to challenge a call and not for refs to throw a flag way after the play.

I was irate too. It seemed obvious that the penalty was called after the stadium replay and the fans reacted.
Now we have fans calling the game.

Not to mention, wasn't it more like a shoulder to the neck than a helmet to the head? If anything, being able to see it in slow motion made it seem clear that it was NOT a penalty. Or maybe it was some other horseshit call that I'm thinking of.

Any fines yet? Refs should be fined for breaking the rules.

Any contact to the head/neck area whether with the head, shoulder, or forearm constitutes a 15 yarder. But not a minute later after the play.

Collarbone. High chest. Whatever you want to call it. Not the head or whatever illegal area; it looked bad because his head snapped back from the blow in general, but it was not headhunting or helmet-to-helmet or anything against the rules; that's what I meant. For years now, they've been making calls based on "looks bad," not whether it actually was illegal, which is a great indication that the rule is stupid and needs to vaporize. Not that it ever will.

Allowing refs to make calls after a replay is bs plain and simple. They already have enough power to change the outcome of a game. That call is a joke and abuse of the refs power! All NFL fans besides the Browns should be pissed that that call happened!
