I read that Artie did one KR in practice or camp and got chewed out by Tomlin??? I can't find the tweet now. Can't confirm if true but sounds like Tomlin to me. :noidea:

Makes sense but Tomlin won't let Artie return kicks because he's on the defense! Who knows?????

not understanding why were trotting out a rookie who as Kozora said before, hasnt been practicing at the position. really not understanding why were using him as if he showed a penchant for kick returns in college. Juju doesnt exactly have after burners and averaged 11.6 yards per kick return in college. Of all the unconventional but logical moves the front office has made in the past week, this one stands out as a bad one. I suppose we'll see.

Interesting to see the possibility of fat backs being our return guy again. Seeing Watson listed as one of the top kick returners gives me memories of good old Dookie Davenport. Im gonna have to ask the team to keep him away from the laundry hampers so it doesnt trigger my PTSD

This team has lacked a kick returner since Antwan Randle El and Will Blackwell was actually decent. That was 1997-2006...lol. 2009 had Logan and then there was the 50 or so returns AB had. Other than that, they've been throwing trash back there...

Rossum was decent but they couldn't afford to carry him as a DB after 2007, his only year w/the Steelers. Willie Reid ended up being garbage.

Who's a better choice right now than JuJu? He's big, can catch contested, and has decent speed. What we don't know is his durability. Hopefully he can take a knee or get out of bounds around the 30. But let's face it, not going to have to return many anyway.

Antonio Brown was good in 2010 and 2011...

I just don't get this "struggle" with identifying a returner for the Steelers. I mean everyone knows that they are sitting on one of the most devastating returners in football - Antonio Brown. If Brown got the volume of work of other "elite" return guys, I shudder to think of the #'s he would post.

Another candidate would have to be Bryant. I know that he has never done it, but look at what he can do on screens and jet sweeps.

Tomlin needs to not live in his fears of injury and put AB, Bryant, or even Burns out there and watch the fireworks.

I forgot about Rossum.
