Steelers (http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/pit/pittsburgh-steelers) wide receiver Martavis Bryant (http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/16886/martavis-bryant) says he took an "intentional" late hit from Indianapolis Colts (http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/ind/indianapolis-colts) safety Matthias Farley (http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/2579840/matthias-farley) while on the ground during Saturday's 19-15 loss (http://www.espn.com/nfl/game?gameId=400951268)....
Bryant referenced a screen play early in the second quarter that resulted in a gang tackle. Cornerback Vontae Davis (http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/12424/vontae-davis) brought Bryant down by his right ankle, and with his left knee down, Farley flew in for an upper-body hit....
"I was already on the ground. It is what it is," Bryant said. "My foot was already bent. ... [Farley] just came in and hit me."
Replays showed Bryant getting bent backward on the play, but he got up on his own.

Agree with Bryant - that play was a disaster waiting to happen starting with the play call - I was afraid Bryant was going to tear up a knee
What constitutes an illegal hit that gets called remains fairly random
