He is the other player other than Tuitt who I expect to get a new deal.

Great kicker, that also is clutch.

I wouldn't want any other kicker in the league over him. Yep pay him and sure they will.

Plus he will be MVP again if our red zone continues to suck.

I mean we literally won a playoff game due to his leg.

Well, we have somewhere north of $10 million in cap space that we were reserving for some bonehead who wouldn't sign a contract, so hopefully we can at least put it to some use.

I still can't believe Roy Gerela had a fan club, Gerlea's Gorillas.

It was painful to watch him kick the ball. There were times it looked like someone hit a professional football kicker over the head, stole his uniform, and snuck onto the field to kick......he was so bad!

And Bobby Walden was a worse punter. He looked older than George Blanda!

Agreed on Walden with regard to skills and looking like he was around 50 years old - the reason Noll handed off in SB X on 4th and long to turn the ball back over to the Cowboys around their 40 with about a minute left was that Walden fumbled a snap for a turnover earlier and Noll was afraid his punt might be blocked

Walden actually made second team all-AFC in 1975 :sofunny:

Since Ray Guy was the perennial best punter in the AFC by then makes you wonder how bad the rest of the AFC punters were in 1975
