Willie McGinnest once told a story about how every player has a "piss pot". It's a pot that they place next to their bed on Sunday nights, because after a game, they are too sore to get out of bed to go to the bathroom. So, instead, they simply turn, aim, and piss into a pot.

Lots of ignorant responses to that tweet. Icing is a standard practice for pro athletes, especially ones that have played as long as Ben has.

Your body loses elasticity as you age. Kids are fine up to early 30s and then the body begins changing. I will be 52 this year and will have some aches and pains generated decades prior that will be with me forever.

Now remember Ben is getting back into football shape and lots of those muscles went unused over the spring. They talk to you when you start using them again. The ice reduces swelling.

Pitchers, NBA players, NHL players, NFL players, even European soccer dudes all regularly appear swathed in ice and heating patches after games and practices. Especially if you're over 25. ALso this isn't new...I hate the internet sometimes!
