it's pathetic when you see the rookie looking like the veteran and the veterans looking like a rookie without heart. pouncey blocks until the whistle is blown.

watch essex and adams both fall to the ground at around the 0:33 mark. could have had a decent gain, but they both lose balance.

i like pouncey at the 0:37 mark. he gets out to the second area.

Yeah, the kid is athletic and does a nice job scraping to the 2nd level after intial double team.

I still remember that Gerald McCoy said Pouncey was the toughest O lineman that he played against in his career.

Good Post, dude

I noticed him getting out to the second level during the game---I enjoyed watching it again
He's definitely the real deal

I don't know too much about his brother yet, but he's got the same genes, so I guess he's pretty good.

For all of you O-line geniuses, is his brother worth considering?

the most recent thing i heard on his brother is that he isn't a good C, at least not yet. he is having problem snapping the football. he might be better to play G only.

His brother likes to snap the ball over the QBs head.

I'm very happy with Big Pouncey. I hope we can somehow pick up his brother up next year.

Sorry guys, but I cant see the steelers looking for another OG as a priority next year. Chris Scott might play RT or move inside and Kemo, Foster, Legursky are already on the roster. I still think they are pretty thin at OT and could use depth there.

I thought Pouncey was gonna be real good, but not this early.

Pouncey has surpassed all of my expectations and I couldn't be happier. Now we have to get him some help, especially at OT.

As exhilarating as that final TD run by Mendenhall was, Pouncey Blocked like a frigging champ and is clearly providing a new edge to our running game by pounding inside to suck in the defense. But the part that enraged me about that play was Kemo, just look at him on that play he blocks for about 2 seconds then STANDS UP AND DOESN NOT MOVE HIS FEET. Also Essex although he got a pancake on that run, he himself got a little higher than usual and didnt move his feet. Techniques like that wont help against the Jets and the Ravens Defense. I cant wait till week 4 and see how pouncey fares out going against Haloti Ngata and Ray Ray. I think that will be his biggest challenge to see if he can neutralize Ngata, and if he manhandles him then were definitely having a pro bowl/future hall of famer in our hands.
