The Steelers ran the ball better than any other team in the NFL in the second half of the 2016 season. Le’Veon Bell rushed for an average of 146 yards per game as the Steelers won nine consecutive games before falling to the New England Patriots in the AFC championship.

That sounds like something offensive coordinator Todd Haley would want to emphasize for a full 16-game season, assuming Bell reports and signs his franchise tag. Especially when you consider the Steelers had a 50-50 pass-run ratio in that nine-game winning streak and nearly passed twice as much as they ran when they opened the season with four wins and five losses.

But it’s not that simple for Haley. He has a future Hall of Fame quarterback in Ben Roethlisberger, a three-time All-Pro receiver in Antonio Brown and game-breaker in Martavis Bryant, if the NFL ever clears him to play.

That’s offensive weaponry coaches dream about without the mention of rookie second-round pick JuJu Smith-Schuster, veteran slot receiver Eli Rogers and others who figure to be contributors.

They should alternate quarters of play calling. Let Ben call his own plays in the 1st & 3rd quarters. Maybe it will help him to prepare more too.

Fans should be allowed to tweet the play calls.

BA was getting so predictable that it actually makes sense to do something completely different. Would make for something more realistic than FF for sure. Fantasy Coaching play-by-play?
