Probably about $8 million per year if true
Of course highest paid coaches are not in NFL - Doc Rivers and Gregg Popovich make over $10 million in NBA while Nick Saban gets $11 million and Jim Harbaugh receives $9 million per year in college football
I'm surprised that Belichick is not on that list.

Oops
But it should still be the case for Tomlin

But it should still be the case for Tomlin
Sean Payton and Pete Carroll allegedly make $8 million and Belichick allegedly makes $7.5 million

Would not surprise me if Belichick has an arrangement for an ownership stake with Kraft (not certain if you can be an owner while active coach/GM)

Good news. He has been a damn good coach, I'm interested to see if his style changes post Ben era.

I'm glad to hear they signed him to an extension.. Some of the decisions he makes at times makes me scratch my head and wonder huh? But i think he's an adequate coach, we could do worse.
Congratulations to Tomlin. Now earn your money.

Green Bay also is probably the only fan base that has a higher % of fans than the Steelers fan base that thinks the head coach since 2007 has underperformed given the talent at QB :chuckle:

It's crazy the similarities that the Steelers and the Packers have!
One of the only differences is that I think the Steelers realized that the zone blitz does not work anymore.
The packers have not yet realized it, even if their defense have been a big disaster in the playoffs under Dom Capers, with the exception of 2010.
I mean, they gave up 36 points per game in their 7 playoff loss with Aaron Rodgers since 2009!

I thought we should have tried to coax Cowher back out of retirement :stirthepot:

why in the world would we extend Tomlin's contract? he hasn't won a damn thing ever since all of Cowher's players retired...

This argument was maybe true in 2012 until early in 2014, but since the steelers have progressed a lot.
His next step is of course to be competitive against the Pats with Brady.....

Every year we expect to be contending for the championship. Every year we ARE in the chase. Coach is a very big part of that. Great signing.

Because there is always a group of people that seem to forget that Cowher didn't win with Cowher's players and left the game forever.
