The Steelers kicked off their second week of Organized Team Activities with a few roster moves.

They announced that they have signed safety Daimion Stafford and long snapper Kameron Canaday. Punter A.J. Hughes was released.

Stafford was a seventh-round pick by the Titans in 2013 and played in 62 games for Tennessee over the last four seasons. Stafford started eight of those games, including six last season, and had 117 tackles and two interceptions. He will give them an experienced option behind Sean Davis and Mike Mitchell.

Stafford is a pretty good ST player.

This could be bad news for DHB...

Is he better than Golden or even Will Allen (as a backup)?

This signing just brings more competition to camp at the safety position. If he battles with anyone for a spot on the 53, it's Dangerfield.

If he can excel on Special Teams, he could knock DHB off the roster and be an extra DB they carry instead of an extra wideout

I like DHB, but I would not be against that situation.

I just hope they can find a pair of youngish reserve safeties that can knock both Dangerfield and Golden off the roster. The WR depth chart will sort itself out through the ridiculous amount of talent they have collected at the group.

The inability of Golden and/or Dangerfield to execute coverage heavy responsibilities is a constant hindrance to the defenses sub-packages and was grievously exposed on at least one TD in the AFCCG.

I realize that complaining about safety depth is a pretty good spot to be in - but that spot on the roster needs improved and several of the team's post draft signings show they think so too.

Not sure he will be an upgrade at the position
