Mike Tomlin is a bottom-line guy. Ask him whether the team conducted a successful training camp, and he says the results of the season will provide the answer. When he was asked to evaluate Dennis Dixonhttp://www.steelers.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/dennis-dixon/dbf2567c-8426-4606-903f-a6537a26c65c/)’s start after last Sunday’s game against the Falcons, he judged it based on the final numbers on the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Tomlin was more expansive, specifically about how he came to the decision he announced early in his news conference: “Dennis is going to lead us into Nashville.”

“It starts that we won, and I thought that he got better as the game went on,” said Tomlin. “There were some third down situations early in the game where he was delivering the ball to the appropriate target, but it was falling short. As the game went on I thought that he was not only making the routine plays but creating a little bit.........

I'm really glad to see Tomlin showing more confidence in Dixon - I got a strong feeling that there really wasn't a high level of confidence in him going into the Falcons game this past Sunday mainly due to his inexperience as an NFL starting QB. I'm with Coach T - whether Dix takes off running or he doesn't - as long as the O is scoring points and those points add up to more than the Tites when that final second ticks off the clock - I'll be happy.

Yeah as long as we score more than the Titians do it will be a good Sunday. I'm with you HTG and, look DD made some good throws and some bad ones as well. We got the Win that is all that matters.
