JuJu Smith-Schuster, the Steelers’ second-round pick, can catch, block, fight for balls and play hurt, bringing to mind Hines Ward
Take it from a former Southern California receiver who became a Super Bowl legend and Hall of Fame member, the Steelers will love JuJu Smith-Schuster.
“He’s a different kind of receiver than what the Steelers already have in their lineup,” said Lynn Swann, who is in his 13th month as USC’s athletic director. “He can play physical. He’ll go up and fight for the ball. In addition to A.B., he’ll be that other receiver who can go down the field and get the ball.”

That was a good read. Thanks for sharing. The more I learn about this kid the more I love this pick. If we can stay healthy and not lose players to suspension, I'm not really sure how teams are going to slow down this offense with Brown, Bell, Bryant, Rodgers, and now possibly JuJu. Good luck with that Baltimore, and Cinncy.

He landed in the right place other than NE if he wants to be a WR. Can he keep his head on straight and focus? We will see.

Keep in mind that Green will be in the mix as well at TE provided that his brains aren't scrambled. The lack of a TE being drafted makes me think that the Steelers feel pretty good about Green's ability to come back next year.

It conjures images more of Troy Edwards than Lynn Swann.

How do you figure?

Because he hasn't played a down. I wouldn't compare him to Lynn Swann. As of he now is closer to Edwards.

So what you're saying is that he isn't close to either since he hasn't played a down.

Ps. though I think JuJu is going to be really good though

speaking of Lynn Swann, I bet the Steelers FO really milked him for information on the USC players since he's the athletic director there. Makes it suddenly less surprising that we picked Juju

But far closer to Edwards

You have nothing to base that on (by your own admission).

So basically you're calling him a bust before he's played a snap. You're right, he hasn't proved anything, but there is absolutely no comparison to Troy Edwards.

........Absolutely none.

You are correct. The people talking like that about him have probably never seen him play. I've watched him play a lot of football. Fans are going to love him. He will probably be the starting slot WR very soon.

How do you have the time to go back and find this stuff?

Thank you. I don't get a lot of recognition or told that I'm right at home.:chuckle:

LOL> I was just browsing around waiting for that crazy World Series game to end. I just stumbled on this:

http://www.steelersdepot.com/2017/05/usc-ad-lynn-swann-smith-schuster-like-real-warrior/

And noticed this:

So far, Smith-Schuster is ahead of where Swann was at this point in their careers. The night Swann was drafted, he got arrested and charged with assaulting police officers. Smith-Schuster just jumped into the ocean.

That Noll had no control of his team!!!! I never heard of this one:

Of course, it won't be long until this 20 year old JuJu, becomes a 25 year old JuJu lol.

He's going to be one hell of a player though. Kudos to Colbert and Tomlin.

Thanks - also never heard that story of Swann's arrest following "a traffic rhubarb" in which "heated words" were exchanged and the officers "accidentally Maced themselves". :sofunny:

More JuJu adulation

Remember Odell Beckham Jr.?

Of course you don’t. He was replaced in every sports-watching American’s consciousness on Sunday night by JuJu Smith-Schuster, the Steelers rookie receiver out of USC who is the future of Pittsburgh, the NFL, and maybe North American sports....

Like many mythical heroes, JuJu’s story begins with betrayal. Just one week before Smith-Schuster’s breakout game, Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant, upset with his playing time, said on Instagram that “juju is no where near better than me fool...give me what I want and y’all can have juju and who ever else (https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2017/10/24/16538384/martavis-bryant-potential-landing-spots).”

We are a field goal machine to be reckoned with. :chuckle:

I am currently predicting we win the superbowl with 6 scores....18-14.
