The Steelers are going to the AFC Championship!

Heroes: Whole Team.

Goats: No Goats. A win is a win.

Le'Veon Bell has 337 yards in his first two playoff games.........think about that for a second.

Wow!

The offensive line was terrific.

Jesse James was huge today.

Defense played very well. The long third down conversions late were aggravating, but if not for a few PI calls and a personal foul on a hit, they didn't give up much.

Game Ball: Deebo and Jesse James. Goat: Ben. Did not play good at all. No TDs. This won't cut it at New England.

Ball: Bell, Bos and Debo.

The real question is how many times did Tomlin and Haley get fired in the game day thread. I had to stay out of there to channel some positivity to the TV screen.

Game ball: Bell, Bos, Outlaw, Deebo, Munchak and the O-line.

Honorable mention to Vince Williams and the Special Teams. They played very well.

Goats: Nix, 3 TE Sets, Female golf coach, Meddling Owners.

I stay out of the gameday threads anymore because I generally wind up getting pissed off.

I might have to start doing that. The posts are just getting ridiculous. So much negativity.

Heroes: as others have said - the whole team. But a few deserve specific mention as well. James Harrison. Bell. Jesse James. O LINE. Boswell.

Goats: None. Ben didn't play his best, but he played good enough. Even the refs did a good job tonight, especially for a playoff game. They allowed the small stuff to slide on both sides, but called the blatant stuff and the stuff that took away significant plays.

I haven't been in there in a couple of years, I think.

EDIT - Special teams. The shut down the threat tonight. Very impressed.

Thankfully Bell, JJ, Oline , Boz and the D won this game. Ben and Haley can share the goat. There have been 2 or 3 games this year where the Steelers didn't score until late in the 4th, tonight they didn't score at all. Lets hope that changes next week.

It's like that in every message board for each team. They don't phase me a bit. Although some fans saying the Steelers are going to lose in the 1st quarter is rather puzzling.

James gave everything he had tonight and he had a pretty damn good game. Bell one helluva game. Boz will be tested again this week after going 6 for 6. Defense did everything they had to, to win the game. Loved how Cockrell got under Kelce's skin.

Whiney Bitch Travis Kelce - BUT DA STEELERS PAID DA REFS

My game ball goes to Boswell for breaking a record and saving our bacon, but I have to give an honorable mention to Bell for another dominating performance to make it all possible.
Game goat goes to Todd Haley for not recognizing that the "icy conditions" were all hype and adjusting to a more aggressive game plan.

All in all, it's the post- season and an ugly win is just as good as a pretty win. On to NE for the *real* test...

Boz will be tested again this week after going 6 for 6.

Even Goodell lackey Peter King took a shot this morning at how the drug testing program operates.

The NFL issued Boswell a “random” drug test after he hit six field goals in a game in December. Maybe the league will want to check him again, just in case.

In his awards section for the past weekend King included 4 Steelers (Bell, Harrison, Boswell & Haley)

That concerns me going forward. Like him or not, Brady won't miss that stuff. Hopefully we can generate a good passrush.

Game Ball: Bell, O-line, Deebo, and the rest of the defense. Basically the entire team.

Goat: Whoever was making the calls in the red zone/goal line. Bell is getting 7 ypc - hand him the ball. Instead you're passing it.

I don't blame Ben for that pick. Ball got tipped, if it doesn't get tipped it might have been a TD.

That was a dangerous pass if it wasn't tipped. They should have ran the ball.

Does anyone recall if they used play action during that sequence if plays?

You have to blame Ben. That was a hot read off of a run play that he called and then threw. The blocking scheme wasn't set up right, otherwise AV, as they said in the game, would have been on that backer.

The defense played pretty well and, Bell is something else to watch. Harrison & Jessie James & Boswell were all great and, the o-line was huge just about all night. I still can't understand why AB live-streamed the locker room after the game but, he did it the steelers have to live with it. The only play that really drove me to drink was the pick in the endzone after Bell almost scored on the play before.

Awesome win!
BALL - Boswell for his scoring that caused the WIN, Bell for getting the team in position to score, James for his plays.
GOAT - Coaching in the redzone. Run plays all the way down field and then pass plays that don't work in redzone.
Ben for NOT being able to throw over the heads of defensive player's without getting ball tipped ! ( you're 6'5 and throwing like you're 6'2)

Would like to see VW used more on defense and he reminds me of a younger Harrison we don't know what we have in him.
