Suggs was always a bro. He wears purple, but I can't hate the guy.

Even back when the Ravens were at their worst, he was one of the few Ravens who actually had fun with the rivalry. Suggs is one of the least hateable Ravens, if that was even possible. I also have to give the Ravens credit, they grew up. Back then, they would not give the Steelers any credit when they lost. They were very poor losers, but the Ravens have truly become the good opponent truly worthy of respect.

The Bengals, however? Fuck the Bengals. Fuck their fans. Fuck their coaches. Fuck everything about them.

Football is a game. Played by men. Boys like Burfict and Jones are the exception and ruin the game. There has ALWAYS been a respect between the Steelers organization and the one that resides in Baltimore currently. Even dating back to the Cleveland years, when THAT was the greatest rivalry in the NFL. Respect off the field, on the field, and constantly trying to one up the other in the offseason with the draft and FA. It's a rivalry game the players love to play in. I have family in Raven country and we constantly 'poke' at each other, year 'round. I love seeing them down. I can always count on them not being down for long but it gives me opportunities to gloat. Merry Christmas to Steeler Nation. And, "Neener, Neener, Neener", to all the Ratbird fans.

It really seems true. The ratbirds are supposed to be the hated, criminal element of the division. But Harbaugh has given the team some respect and the scuzzy slime of Ray Lewis has kind of washed away. The only reason I hated the birdies after Modell slinked away was Lewis. Bungles seem to be the most un-professional group now. But we only know what our TVs tell us.

I found it and you're right --- good interview. He really made Hines feel good when he said I still hate you because you were so good. LOL.
