After Le’Veon Bell ran for 32 yards on 14 carries in the first game against the Baltimore Ravens Nov. 6, left guard Ramon Foster put the blame on the offensive line. That epic failure came in the eighth game of the season. The Steelers were 4-4 and averaging just 96 rushing yards per game. They ranked 25th in the league, and Bell hadn’t rushed for 100 yards in four consecutive games.


“We’ll just blame it on the O-line,” Foster said the day after the Steelers fell to the Ravens, 21-14, in Baltimore. “I don’t want to put any fault on him. We have to do a better job for what we’re paid to do. That’s on us. We’ll move forward and correct it and evaluate what’s going on. We’ll make that better for him.”


Foster stayed true to his word. Since then, Bell has rushed for 100 yards or more five times in the past seven games, including 122 yards Sunday against the NFL’s No. 2 run defense. Bell is averaging 127 rushing yards per game in that span, and the Steelers now are knocking on the door of being a top-10 running team..........
