It’s been nearly seven weeks since the Pittsburgh Steelers lost 21-14 on the road to the Baltimore Ravens and boy a lot has changed since then.
For starters, when the Steelers lost to the Ravens in Baltimore, tight end Ladarius Green was still on Reserve/PUP and linebacker Bud Dupree was still on the Reserve/Injured list. If not having two current starters for that game wasn’t enough, the Steelers were also without the services of fullback Roosevelt Nix for that early November game due to a back injury.
Those three players aside, the Steelers offense was handicapped early in that game against the Ravens thanks to center Maurkice Pouncey suffering an early thumb injury and wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey sustaining a foot injury. While Pouncey was able to play 19 total snaps against the Ravens before ultimately leaving the game for good, Heyward-Bey played just five snaps before exiting.
