The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the Indianapolis ColtsThursday night and as of right now, their quarterback Andrew Luck is very questionable to play in that game.
During his Monday press conference, Colts head coach Chuck Pagano indicated that luck and safety Clayton Geathers are currently in the concussion protocol.

On one hand, I honestly hope he's fine and ok to play. On the other, that would be a much needed break for us if Luck had to sit out this week. Road game to Cleveland, short week, on the road to Indy, we could use some breaks falling our way.

Tolzien looks to get the start. If the past is any prologue, Tolzien is on tap for 400 yards, 4 touchdowns, and the victory.

Thats possible but their O-line sucks.

You're right. I was mostly just being a sarcastic jerk.

At least we will be spared the inevitable Luck/Roethlisberger comparisons and moon-eyed discussions of passing of the torch etc.

Not with their OL.

Toizien only has two NFL starts and hasn't seen regular season action since 2013..... The Steelers *should* win this one.

Gee, a back up journeyman QB getting the start on the road. what could possibly go wrong for the Steelers

Pretty sure we've all seen this story before. I gruesomely sloppy game that doesnt really make most of us feel that much better about our playoff/playoff run prospects

I'm even more nervous for this game. A greater possibility for tomlin lethargy to set in. With a backup qb playing instead of luck the colts are one of the worst teams in the nfl

Well, if we can rack up the sacks like the Browns game, since their OL is crap, we should be ok on Def. Now if we can get our offense started up again, it should be a good game for us.

Possible, but he hasn't been seen at practice, plus the fact that his O-line sucks doesn't bode well for him to play.

All the reports are saying he has no chance at playing.

On the other hand, the Colts are not below .500. If we played the Titans or Jaguars I would be sure we'd lose.

Still if Luck is not cleared this is a nice break for the steelers and, hopefully they will take care of business so we can all have a happy thanksgiving night.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts (http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/ind/indianapolis-colts) quarterback Andrew Luck (http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/14874/andrew-luck) has officially been ruled out of Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/pit/pittsburgh-steelers) because of a concussion.
Luck didn't practice all week after suffering the concussion on a sack in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans (http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/ten/tennessee-titans).

With Andrew Luck still in the NFL's concussion protocol, Scott Tolzien will likely get the start at quarterback for the Colts on Thursday.

Luck has to clear the NFL's concussion protocol before he's allowed to play.
The Colts' next game after the Steelers is Dec. 5 at the New York Jets (http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/nyj/new-york-jets).
Luck played in the first 51 regular-season games of his NFL career. But Thursday will mark the 10th game that he has missed since Week 4 of last season.
Scott Tolzien (http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/14353/scott-tolzien) is expected to start in Luck's place against the Steelers. Tolzien is 56-of-91 for 721 yards, a touchdown and five interceptions in six career appearances. His last meaningful playing time was against the Minnesota Vikings (http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/min/minnesota-vikings) on Nov. 24, 2013 (http://www.espn.com/nfl/game?gameId=331124009), when he was with the Green Bay Packers (http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/gb/green-bay-packers).
The Colts elevated Stephen Morris (http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/17220/stephen-morris) from the practice squad Wednesday to back up Tolzien.
Colts starting safety Clayton Geathers (http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/2519211/clayton-geathers) (concussion) also has been ruled out of Thursday's game.
The Colts (5-5), who are on a two-game winning streak, are a game behind the first-place Houston Texans (http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/hou/houston-texans) in the AFC South. The Steelers have beaten Indianapolis in each of the past two seasons by a total of 52 points.

Yes I remember when Jimmy Hawkins, the Bears 9th string QB went out and beat them by throwing for 712 yards.

This game isnt going to be good. Roethlisberger will be sacked, there will be incompletions, bell will be able to get some nice runs. it will be 13-9 colts in the 3rd quarter and then something stupid will happen. in all seriousness, this game is so trap-heavy i'm shocked pittsburgh is favored. also, when was the last time the steelers won on thanksgiving? ever?

If the Steeler's can't win this game with the power we have on offense (Ben, Bell and Brown) against the Colt's defense, and with Luck sidelined against our mediocre defense, then this Steeler team is a hell-of-alot worse than I think it is and doesn't even deserve to win our pathetic, bottom feeder division. The win against Cleveland didn't show me anything as far as getting back on track, crap it took the team 3-4 minutes left in that game to even beat the browns. They need to come out and start dominating from beginning until the very end, 60 minutes and no damn conservative crap ! Make it a relaxing Thanksgiving for all of us....Happy Thanksgiving my fellow Steeler brothers/sisters ! Be safe !

Steelers better put it away in the first half or they will lose. It is 50/50 they are thinking about a turkey feast instead of football.

I hate saying it, but this team isn't a contender. 10 games in the season and they are still running wrong routes, dropping balls, missing tackles and at times looking like they are lost on the field. Coaching and discipline leaves alot to be desired. Seems the longer this group is together the more confused they get.

A lot of times it's not negativity...it's reality...especially when it's mistakes that get repeated and mistakes that are just basic football.

A lot of times it's not negativity...it's reality...especially when it's mistakes that get repeated and mistakes that are just basic football.

When people are saying that they have no chance to win a game, that's negativity. There are always reasonable criticism and concerns that people can have about all aspects of the team, but when people are saying that Ben Roethlisberger is going to throw 4 interceptions or that they have no chance of winning is just ridiculous. That thought process is not based on fact or reality.

It's sad that people can feel that way about a team that has had so much success, and have not had a losing record in forever in football years.

Those are the people I'm referring to.

Even if the mistakes are just basic football, the commentary around here is largely negative. That wouldn't really get my goat - in fact it would be a valuable way to vent and talk about the team. But too much of the criticism is based on an imaginary/idealized reality where players always execute perfectly, never make a mental error, coaches have perfect knowledge of things ahead of time, etc. That standard is not in place nor lived up to by any NFL team ever - or at least not for more than a game here or there.

For instance, the fact that the second string (truthfully the 3rd string RB) let him self be shepherded out of bounds late in a blowout victory is an "error". And it is one made by a player who is now up to 10 whole carries on the year and 65 on his 3 year NFL career. Wanna hazard a guess on how much practice time and coaching the bottom of the depth chart RB who is averaging about 1 and 1/3 carries per game gets in a typical practice week? Gotta remember just how stupid most of these guys are. There is a reason that coaches talk about needing "reps" - for some reason telling most of these guys something "basic" once does not mean that it will stick.

What is the point of this long -winded rant you may ask? That Touissant going out of bounds is not some sympton of some larger sickness that infects the rest of the roster. Touissant made a mental error that I'm going to wager 9 out of 10 of the 3rd string RBs in the league make. Except the ones mind controlled by Belichick.
