Stop Elliott. That has to be the #1 key. He makes their offense go. The run opens up the passing game. Shut down the run game and you make it more difficult for Dak.

Watch out for Edelman clone, Beasley.

Beasley doesn't make enough splash plays to consider him a threat.

I'm talking 3rd down conversions not splash plays. That shit adds up. I can see this secondary focusing too much on Dez but this little squirt getting short passes for 1st downs.

The teams are eerily similar.

ON DEFENSE:
Keep their RB (Elliott) from breaking any long plays; he will get his yards, but make him earn them. Stop their top receiver (Bryant). Do not allow their other receivers to score (Beasley). Hold them to FGs.

ON OFFENSE:
Keep giving the ball to our RB (Bell) and hope that he breaks a long one; he will get his yards, but he will have to earn them. They will likely stop our top receiver (AB). Involve our other receivers (Rogers) and especially in the red-zone. Do not settle for FGs; we must score TDs.

Contain the run and, hope the offense can put up 30 points.

Hope our offense shows up, the defense will be fine as they have shown consistently (when key players have not been injured) they are good enough to keep us in games. It is all on our offense to figure out what the issues are and fix them.

Blitz a lot. Play Harrison more and Jones less. Learn how to tackle.

Don't force passes to Brown. Don't throw up prayers hoping Coates can catch it. Put together an actual offensive plan that doesn't rely on low percentage plays to score or move down field.

First off, the Offense has to show up and actually do something. Ben cannot go out and play subpar like he did in Philly, Miami, and last week.

In all of our losses, the Offense failed to score at least 17 points. That just won't get it done with the Defense the way it is.

It isn't complicated. Almost never has been. Win the battle at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. When this team loses it tends to get its ass kicked at the LOS on at least one if not both sides of the ball.

Personally, I do not hold out much hope for the defense. If they got blown off the ball by the Dolphin's O-line, I shudder to think what the "Boys line and one of the best power backs to come into the league in several years is going to do to them.

Hope they start Romo.

As Ben goes so goes the Steelers.

Ben coming out up tempo and inspired and play calling that spreads out the defense and keeps them on their heels is key imo.

The offense needs to find their cohesive rhythm again, they have looked out of sorts for awhile now, and you could even argue they have looked that way more often than not this season, with flashes of brilliance sprinkled throughout.

I can see this being a high scoring game similar to the Oakland game last year. Our offense needs a rejuvenating explosive game.

The D will need to stop the run and create pressure. I have faith in at least one of those...

Ah, I get it. I've been hearing all week about the opponent so I'm grouchy..... you should have said Beasley is a Hall of Famer. That's Tomlinspeak too. :chuckle:

Despair and hopelessness! Seriously I can't think of a single logical reason to think the Steelers will be competitive this game, let alone win. :noidea: Therefore they'll probably win. :chuckle: In all seriousness the only reason I think we may have a slight chance is because of the betting line. The Steelers being a 2 1/2 favorite defies all logic. I've heard as much as 90% of the public' money has been coming in on the Cowboys. It's not often the house is that wrong. That they set a line that would obviously sway the public so strong in one direction leads me to believe they know the "sharps" will come in hard on the Steelers at the end. Hope the casino's are right in this case.

I'll give you one single logical reason to believe. Ben Roethlisberger. Another, Antonio Brown. One more for good measure, Leveon Bell. A bonus one is our defense will step up again this week/today.

Such keen insight. I can see how it would have taken overnight to come up with that...
