The NFL is a Joke!

BY ALEX KOZORA (http://www.steelersdepot.com/author/alex-kozora/) OCTOBER 21, 2016 AT 02:54 PM
CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora is reporting (https://twitter.com/JasonLaCanfora/status/789551187028807680)the NFL is opting against issuing a fine to Ndamukong Suh for his potential leg kick of Ben Roethlisberger, which occurred late in Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Yesterday, Gerry Dulac reported the Steelers forwarded the video to the league and asked them to take a look. Today, we get our answer.
Suh appeared to kick his leg out going after Roethlisberger with 21 seconds remaining in the Dolphins’ 30-15 win Sunday. David DeCastro told Ray Fittipaldo Roethlisberger noticed the kick immedaiely after the play though there was no flag from officials.
This play was made all the more notable because of Suh’s history of dirty tactics. He’s been fined several times for kicks and stomps over the course of his career, ones that have even led to suspension.
One last time, we’ll post the play and let you be the judge. Personally, I would’ve liked to see a fine, though a suspension would’ve been unnecessary.

Roethlisberger told reporters after the game his right knee was “black and blue” though keep in mind it was his left knee that needed the surgery and is keeping him out for at least this Sunday’s matchup against the New England Patriots. Landry Jones will start in his place.

Not surprised in the least. No one is ever penalized or fined for taking a cheap shot at Ben.

After seeing the NFL declined in fining Suh, I figured the video would show incidental contact, but after watching it I gotta say it looks pretty damn blatant to me, and perhaps ejection worthy.

Player Safety is the number one priority...or maybe it's raising funds through The TD Fines Foundation?

You're not going to convince me that Mr. Commish doesn't have a personal vendetta against certain teams, while having an absolute hard-on for others.

Suh is a guy that I very much wanted to be a Raider. I'm actually kind of surprised that he turned out to be this type of player. Maybe I didn't pay much attention when he was in college. Was he always like this?

As a side note: I know how you feel about the NFL (Goodell) hating on your team. Your team seems to have taken over for the Raiders on that front, although, I still think the NFL hates the Raiders...lol.

Not fining Suh is a big mistake regardless of which teach one supports. This was an opportunity to send a message and reinforce proper sportsmanship among all of the noise from protests and sinking ratings.

The NFL deserves to burn down because of what it has sown. Much like America if it falls to the Clinton Machine.

I just don't understand why the NFL is so inconsistent with it's punishment for players. Suh has a history of dirty plays, particularly against the Packers which has resulted in fines and a suspension. He should be at least fined for this because it is clear in the video that he intentionally kick Ben in his knee.

As long as the NFL inconsistently punishes their players for on the field behavior regarding player safety, players and fans will not take the NFL's pursuit of player safety seriously.

It's so inconsistent that it's consistently inconsistent. There's no rhyme or reason to the fines.

We saw it. They saw it. Everybody saw it. No fine for that since he didn't twerk after.
