It wasn’t his best game as the Steelers starting quarterback, and that alone speaks volumes about some of the performances Ben Roethlisberger (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/ben-roethlisberger/54dda34e-9e43-4c57-9397-1143ddced5d6/) has put together during an NFL career that’s now in its 13th season. Coming off a decisive defeat in Philadelphia, the Steelers needed a big win over the Chiefs to cleanse their palates and get themselves back on track. And the most direct route to that kind of a victory was going to include great play from the quarterback.

Roethlisberger provided that by completing 22-of-27 for 300 yards, with five touchdowns, no interceptions, and a rating of 152.5. A perfect passer rating in the NFL is 158.3.

Roethlisberger is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Also considered were Le’Veon Bell, who had 18 carries for 144 yards plus five catches for 34 more to finish with 178 yards from scrimmage in his first game back from suspension; Cam Heyward, who had six tackles and three sacks; Antonio Brown (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/antonio-brown/859114e9-d70b-477b-8eaf-6f34bb1ffc03/), who caught four passes for 64 yards and two touchdowns; Vince Williams (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/vince-williams/1a43b14f-2f77-46b7-af1f-7eacffb085bf/), who had 15 tackles and a sack; Jarvis Jones (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/jarvis-jones/92ceebdf-6088-4872-abf0-69a36014c8d2/), who had three tackles and an interception; and Markus Wheaton (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/markus-wheaton/aa64cb43-14c9-4635-b577-440a959515e3/), who caught a 30-yard touchdown pass and a two-point conversion pass.

That was one hell of a game. Wins like that don't come around too often, but it's a whole lot of fun when they do! Proud that Ben got Player of the Week, it is well deserved.

Congrats Ben.

B.J. Finney filled in well. Great story.

Just for the record, Matty Ice scored 43 fantasy points and Ben scored 44. I had Ben!

Every game this season so far had an outcome known by halftime. Good thing we are 3-1 instead of the other way around. Ben looked like a surgeon out there. He made few mistakes and was not constricted by playing to AB's stat sheet. The next thing to go is his dumb dancing after a score. Winning a SB is most important.
