DeAngelo Williams went over 10,000 yards from scrimmage and helped the Steelers to a win.
DEANGELO WILLIAMS
Running Back

The game was the occasion for DeAngelo Williams (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/deangelo-williams/1da0810e-2466-4230-b7ce-e7f2b4b9ab8b/) to go over 10,000 yards from scrimmage in his NFL career, and he did it in a game in which he contributed as both a runner and a receiver. Williams finished the game, mostly played under a steady rain, with 32 carries for 94 yards rushing, and he also caught four passes for 38 more yards and the fourth-quarter touchdown that turned out to be the difference in the outcome. It was a workmanlike performance by Williams on a day when the conditions were less than ideal, on a day when the Steelers passing attack wasn’t what it usually is, but the team still found enough to earn a 24-16 win over the defending division champion Bengals at Heinz Field.

Williams is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Also considered were Ryan Shazier (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/ryan-shazier/7e3347f2-0be9-4413-bca3-b929f03e18a3/), who led the team with 11 tackles, including one for a loss on a first-and-goal at the 1-yard line that began a third quarter goal-line stand in which the Bengals ended up settling for a field goal; Robert Golden (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/robert-golden/80b22c56-f6cd-4f6e-a383-406ade654331/), who had eight tackles, broke up a pass on second down during that same goal-line stand, and recovered the fumble forced by James Harrison (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/james-harrison/f955db12-de79-47a3-9c61-d50c2583d49b/) to ice the outcome; Ross Cockrellhttp://www.steelers.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/ross-cockrell/651f9bc1-db7e-4304-ac39-3e539fd8b0c6/), who followed A.J. Green all over the field and finished with two passes defensed on a day when the Bengals big-play receiver finished with two catches for 38 yards; Xavier Grimble (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/xavier-grimble/11451485-b7ce-4a3b-8cf5-d4e128f5b234/), who caught two passes for 26 yards – one for a touchdown and the other to convert a third down; and Jesse James (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/jesse-james/e4413009-7466-4526-bb36-36e1196dfaba/), who caught three passes for 29 yards and a touchdown.

Williams is playing to win a SB. He was the difference in bad weather, Ben was off and AB was hearing footsteps in between being held.

As grateful as I am to have DWill, there's no comparison to Bell.

I agree, especially as receiver.

he honestly would have been a great choice too. Field position saved our asses today. the bengals should have been able to score a lot more with all of the short drives we had

It also helped that their punt returner would catch the ball inside the 10 yard line a couple of times. :chuckle:

For those who cannot see the tweet, DWill is explaining to pee-on deion sanders that he basically wants to win and knows that Bell is the #1 RB. DWill wants a ring. Period.

In Williams presser yesterday, he said, " hell I don't even want Bell off the field".
