Ben & Eli were both drafted in 2004 and have won almost 1/3rd of the super bowls since with 2 a piece.

Yet while Eli has even thrown for more yards then Ben it appears Ben may now be considered a lock for the hall of fame...but not Eli

Here are 15 current players (including Ben) who are supposed to be locks for the Hall of Fame and Eli is not mentioned.

It looks like we got the best QB in the 2004 draft.

However I am curious what you think Eli's chances are of getting in?

Eli should be in the conversation for HOF. He may not get in, but he deserves to be in the conversation.

ESPN’s Bill Barnwell does not agree with the NFL Network assessment, and while calculating the chances for certain players to be enshrined in Canton, listed Manning with only a 40 percent chance.

Beyond just limiting Manning’s chance in his own mind, Barnwell essentially said Manning doesn’t even deserve Hall of Fame consideration because of his numbers.

Eli Manning might make the Hall of Fame, which is going to infuriate a lot of people. On numbers alone, Eli shouldn’t be there. He has made four Pro Bowls, and while he has put together a very nice second peak after the arrival of Ben McAdoo, nobody who watches Manning on a week-to-week basis thinks that he looks like a Hall of Famer by any stretch of the imagination. The basis for his candidacy, then, is winning two Super Bowl MVP awards in victories over the Patriots, and Manning will get bonus credit for beating the previously undefeated 2007 Patriots. (The memories of Eli nearly throwing the game away with an interception on the play before the Helmet Catch have already mostly disappeared.)

The list of guys who have won Super Bowl MVP two or more times includes Terry Bradshaw, Tom Brady, Joe Montana and Bart Starr. They’re all in (or will be in) the Hall of Fame. I’d also argue that Eli doesn’t belong on a tier with those passers because of what they all did in the other hundreds of games they each played over the course of their respective careers. I wouldn’t vote for him, but some will.

Roethlisberger is FAR from a lock at this point, IMO. I'm not saying that he isn't deserving (he is), but based on the way he regularly gets dissed by the sports media and the simple fact that he isn't pimped as one of the "faces of the league" he needs one more ring to be considered a lock, I think.

This is my opinion, but I am very confident Ben will be in the HOF, whatever happens.Maybe not first ballot, but he will be there

Ben has more respect now by the media, especially with his last two season.

The Snake didn't get in until he passed. He was a much better QB, IMO. Eli is an above average QB, but I don't think he's HOF caliber. Just my opinion. Ben, on the other hand.... hands down will be/is a HOFer.

If Ben wins two more Super Bowls (which would make me happy...I would suffer through 7 years of losing for it) I still don't think that he would be a first ballot lock. For whatever reason, the media hates him...hates him.

I have seen no media since last year which said that Roethlisberger will not be in the HOF.And One more super bowl and he is a first ballot HOF lock.

Don't be worry about it, no matter what happens to Roethlisberger, he will be in the HOF.

The media votes and there are some out there that hate him...that's what could keep him from the first ballot entry...not his resume.

The media only hate Donald Trump more than Ben who is a deserving HoFer. Eli should get in for beating the Cheaters twice in the SB.

Eli was also Super Bowl MVP in both wins.

However I think Ben is in his prime right now and seems to only be getting better.

He's come a long way from the motorcycle crash when I thought it might end his career.

Considering that Joe Namath got based off of Super Bowl 3 despite posting poor numbers for a majority of his career, I think Eli will likely get in on the strength of 2 wins over the Patriots (including beating the 18-0 Pats). I will say though that Ben is a cut above Eli and deserves to get in quicker than Eli. Eli is inconsistent and has years where is he is off and throws numerous INTs

Speaking of Raiders, I think Jim Plunkett is the only two time winning qb who isn't in the HOF.

I don't think he will ever get in. He played on very good Raiders teams, but his career really wasn't HOF worthy. Again, just my opinion.

Both will be in the HOF one day.
