Steelers Roster Cuts: Pittsburgh meets requirement of 75 players, sends Ladarius Green to PUP List
The Pittsburgh Steelers met the league mandated 75 player cut deadline by releasing 3 playeds and sending another to the PUP list.
To comply with NFL regulations, the Steelers made four moves today to trim their roster down to the required 75 players. The most notable move was the team placing prized free agent signing tight end Ladarius Green on the Physically Unable to Perform list which prevents Green from practicing or joining the active roster until after week six of the NFL season.
The Steelers released three other players as well: safety Jacob Hagen, defensive tackle Devaunte Sigler and cornerback Kevin White. Those three would have been longshots to make the roster, but the loss of Green for a significant portion of the season puts added pressure on inexperienced tight ends Jesse James and Xavier Grimble.
