Maybe this is the last year for Timmons....

Timmons looks like he is taking the $ and running. He will catch on with another team for a final contract next season. I would be surprised if he retired outright, but you never know.

I like it. One less contract to have to worry about in the offseason and can focus more on trying to re-sign DeCastro

YES!!!

He & Shazier will be a formidable inside tandem. Add in Matakevich for backup, and this is the best ILB corps that the Steelers have had in a while.

Williams has been a very solid player from the first moment he stepped onto the field for the Steelers. He's a very reliable player that brings a physical style with good instincts to the position. He doesn't have elite athleticism and can sometimes struggle in coverage, but he is a player.

Good signing.

As long as we keep that picture in the roster we're good.

Timmons has a Titan contract waiting for him right after the SuperBowl

I wouldn't be surprised if we do sign Timmons to a small contract after this season, let him retire as a Steeler and I imagine he will play just fine this season and the rest.

I like Williams and I know that Timmons gets paid too much, but any version of this where Timmons not playing in 2017 and maybe 2018 and the Steelers being a better defense is just wrong.

Even an aging Timmons is better than Williams.

All that being said, great signing.
