Mendenhall to get plenty of goal-line carries (http://blog.triblive.com/view-from-the-press-box/2010/09/09/mendenhall-to-get-plenty-of-goal-line-carries/)

Apparently there is a distinction between a goal-line and a short-yardage back.
I had assumed that when Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Isaac Redman would be the latter that Redman would also handle the responsibilities associated with the former.
But offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said today -- or at least strongly intimated -- that Rashard Mendenhall will stay in the game for many goal-line situations.

I assumed goal line would be classified under short yardage... As long as Mendenhall does not get worn down its fine... I have him on one of my four fantasy teams so fine with me.

If somebody besides Arians can call running plays we might be better off.

Keep Mendy in for blocking on a pass and let Redzone do what his name implies. What is so complicated?

Did those Bowie State highlights make him Redzone? I'll take a wait and see approach on Redman. I bet he gets zero carries vs Atlanta.

I like Mendenhall I would like to see him get his share of carries at the goal line. It would make him a more complete back if he could start scoring at the goal line.
