Do i really need to say it? For vet minimium we should kick the tires on him. if anyone can get the potential out, its John Mitchell.
And I realize PFF isnt everything, but they had Easley down as their 2nd most productive interior DL pass rushers behind only JJ Watt and ahead of guys like Geno Atkins, Muhammad Wilkerson, Aaron Donald, and Kawann Short: https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/11/18/pro-ranking-the-top-nfl-pass-rushers-this-season/

And yet, the genius released him? For vet min, sure why not. But if he slacks off, check his phone records and see if there are any calls from the NE area. Don't release him, just suspend him.
What's his BA?

Exactly what they should have done with Sucker Punch - suspension without pay for the remainder of the season and then cut him about 2 minutes after the Super Bowl ended.

hmmm then again maybe not. i read on Steelers Depot that apparently this wasnt a pure injury release, it also had to do with philosophical differences on following injury protocol, and possibly some lawsuit against him about his dog biting someone (dont see what that has to do with anything though), and apparently some reporter tweeted that a patriots player said he saw it coming because of injuries and because he was a locker room cancer. Apparently on his rookie deal he needs to be guaranteed $1 million by whoever picks him up.
I guess he may not check out after all

"Philosophical differences on following injury protocol" = Hoodie wanted him to practice on IR (http://espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3408450) (against league rules) and Easley balked, more than likely. :coffee:
What the Steelers should do is wait until he clears waivers and snap him up the second he becomes a free agent while New England takes an almost $4 million hit against their cap. It'd be the perfect payback for their tampering with Blount.

Why don't the Patriots get criticized for blowing this pick? Lol. It's a pretty big bust...

...and we can also keep Heyward or Tuitt from getting suspended for being stoned in a car with him.
