Over at Steelers Fever, every year, hawaiiansteeler & I would coordinate a "Steelers Fever Consensus Mock Draft".

We would start with the first pick... with a thread, a poll, and a discussion. The poll/thread would be up for 12 hours, and then, we'd move on to the next team. So on & so forth until we would get to Pittsburgh's selection, where the poll would stay open for several days.

Why??? This will allow for us to get a sense of who might ACTUALLY be there at pick #25. No joke: we've come pretty close every single year. Have fun with it.

So... as not to break tradition...
"First Annual Steelers Universe Consensus Mock Draft".

Tennessee is on the clock... and will be on the clock until 7:00am (EST).

Nice!!! I don't see how the Titans go anywhere other than LT. Mariota got killed on pretty much every snap. That OLine has got to improve. From what I have read, seen, and heard, Tunsil is far and away the best LT in this draft. So, Titans take Laremy Tunsil, LT, Ole Miss. Just about every mock I have seen agrees with this pick.

This moves Taylor to their RT spot, They have Warmack, Gallik, and Poutasi, with Schwenke at Center. That one pick for Tunsil sets their OLine for the next decade if everybody stays.

Now what I would do with the pick, but the Titans sit tight and take one of the tackles. Mariota needs someone to buy him the time to find DGB downfield.

they are actively shopping the pick , best case scenario they find a partner even if it means they cant fleece them and they drop back a few spots still get their tackle and perhaps enough ammo to move back into round 1 and get a play maker for the defense

ah yes, this is by far my favorite part of the off-season! :tt02:

I think in real life the Tuxedos will trade the #1 pick to a team that wants to get ahead of Cleveland and take QB Carson Wentz.

but if they were to stand pat, I believe the selection will be either OT Laremy Tunsil or S/CB Jalen Ramsey...

They drafted a franchise quarterback, and they need to give him a strong offensive to find out what he can do and to give him a chance to succeed.

I vote for OT Laremy Tunsil.

My guess is they take Ramsey. Their secondary is as much of a mess as their offensive line (I mean, they signed Antwon Blake hoping it would HELP them) and Ramsey has a chance to be a "special" player at an impact position that is just as big a need. You can get offensive line help without using the top overall pick on it, and there should be good ones available at pick #33.

Regardless of the order, it looks like Ramsey and Tunsil will be going at #1 and #3 in some fashion, with the Browns taking either Wentz or Jared Goff at #2 and the 49ers taking the other one at #7. So the effect is basically the same if we are trying to figure out who's going to be available at the end of the round when we pick.

If they don't sell the #1 spot, I think they go with Tunsil.

You could have just put Tunsil and Ramsey as an option. Those are the only realistic options for Tennessee

As for the pick I am going Tunsil since they need to protect Mariota, though it could be Ramsey as LeBeau will probably lobby for him

gotta protect your franchise QB no doubt. Especially one thats so mobile and has already ended his first season on IR. dont end up another RG3

Awesome responses. Thank you to all of you.

1. Yeah... it's gonna be Tunsil or Ramsey, but I had to add a few others (otherwise it appears as though I'm "leading the witness").

2. I agree that a trade is a legitimate possibility, but from doing this a few times, figuring out who is going to trade up (San Fran? Los Angeles???) is tricky. For now, we'll just have no trades.

3. Mods, thank you for allowing this. Once we get a "winner" in the poll, feel free to move (or erase) these threads.

I'm willing to declare Tunsil the winner (commanding 10-3 lead) and move on to Cleveland...

Agreed.

I'll start the new poll after I run to the store.
