Not really sure where to go with this thread except to say, that the guy is an enigma. His stats for kicking inside the 20 are best in the NFL 28 of 59 with only 2 TBs.He has the longest punt 79 yards. But damn, when he punts from inside the ten he like has a stroke or something. I'm sure it's the pressure. I would love to see him get over that, because I think he has the talent to be good.r

He is a question mark as is ST and Danny Smith.

Both should hit the road. Smith is terrible. Berry...he needs to be replaced with a good punter. It's bout time the team addresses that situation...it's been far too long.

Berry has been pretty reliable, but man, he picked a bad time to choke. I'd still give the guy another chance; he was a definite improvement over most of the clowns we've had since the first time Sepulveda got injured.

Side note: Wheaton obviously has no idea how to return punts. We need to find someone who can at least not drop the ball as a backup to Brown.

Wouldn't mind if the Steelers brought someone in to camp to compete with Berry. No idea who. What do I know from punting?

We have had too many punters shank from their own end zone at the worst possible time while the other teams kick to our 30 yr line and the offense rarely gets the " great" field position. Berry is better than Wing but he needs to get better to get out of bad field position.

Before anyone totally dismisses Berry, give this a read. Interesting stats.

People were too quick to jump on him after the Denver game. On the whole, he had a good season. When we had clowns like Mitch Berger and Paul Ernster doing the punting, EVERY game was like the Denver game.
