Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict is the absolute, unquestionably, without a doubt in my mind dirtiest player in the game. Sure you could point to a handful of others, but I'll contest that those players at worst were purposefully trying to take an opponent out of that particular series or game. What Burfict did Saturday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers in my eyes was put another human being's life at risk.

(http://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2016/1/10/10743956/bengals-linebacker-vontaze-burfict-should-be-banned-from-the-nfl)http://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2016/1/10/10743956/bengals-linebacker-vontaze-burfict-should-be-banned-from-the-nfl

Normally I would expect Baltimore media to choose the meteor over Pittsburgh in any dispute, but there you have it. It was THAT blatant.

Man, can Antonio be nominated for an Academy Award? Perhaps the greatest flop of all time.

Just amazes how far humans can go to justify ourselves. I hope I never get that far deceived and delusional.

Nope, a Grammy! Because he's a big faker (according to the eminent neurologist Pacman Jones), just like these two:

Wow there are some other people out there with zero common sense and football knowledge. I would like to post for you 2 actual posts from a Colts forum I USED to actually converse with people in. My son was a fan of Peyton Manning at one time, so he kinda got me hooked. Used to be a decent place, now just filled with a lot of stupid idiots. These 2 gems, which I'm ashamed to admit, are from 2 female posters. Just pure classic case of the sheer ignorance of unintelligence out there. Ms. Understood is a Colts fan - the one answering her is a Pats fan. Yeah, the one that had the nerve to say "given Pitt's rep"..... yada yada yada. This is just an example of why brain dead jokers, be it female or male, just should stay away from the computer. Big bad Joey Porter coming out and swearing at Bengals players. Shame shame shame!!!! The nerve of that bully. Yeah she also thinks the suspension of Burfict is "ridiculous". Again, a Pats fan............ 'nuff said.

I'm not surprised by the suspension. The part that confuses me, is all the conflicting reports out there on Brown. First I read that Brown has a concussion, and is in the concussion protocol, which tells me no way he should play this weekend.

Then I read, he doesn't have a concussion, he was faking it. http://content.forums.colts.com/emoticons/PGtest_scratch.gif Seriously...??? faking it?

Which is it..??

Same inconsistencies from a league that can't get anything right.

Given the Steelers rep, I would go with Brown faking it. And you left out Joey Porter not getting more than a fine for coming onto the field and swearing at Bengals players.

Burfict clearly tries to injure players even after the tackle is made. He kneed Ben's shoulder and the ankle twisting on cam and Olsen in my view should have earned him a year suspension.

Folks that think like this do not know NFL rules OR if they do don't care what they say!

They can not differentiate between Shazier's hit on runner....Bernard -Vs- Burfict blasting his shoulder into a defeneless receivers skull !

They can NOT differentiate the differences ! They lack Critical thinking skills and the IQ and Emotional IQ to reason and look at things in a rational manor!

All they are interested in is SPEWING HATE and REVENGE !

Some people are just plain ignorant. The first one seems to think that everything she reads on the internet is true.

Anyone who suggests that Porter should get fined needs to watch the whole incident in slow motion and watch what actually happened.

This is why you don't see me much on this forum - I don't know the rules, and I know I don't know the rules. The very most basic ones on how the game is played, yes, but not the nuances. I'm trying to learn, but it's very complicated - I think football is one of those things where you have to grow up loving it to absorb what's going on, and what should be going on. All I know is that was an ugly game, but I'm glad we won and the Bengals pissed their win away - they deserved that. Even many Ravens fans are on our side - that should be proof enough. In fact, I believe I like the Ravens more than the Bengals myself at this point - at least there was respect on both sides in that rivalry. I don't expect to win on Sunday with three of our best players either out or not at full capabilities (all thanks to Burfict, TYVM) but take comfort that the Bengals continue their losing streak. If the Steelers don't make it to the big show, I hope a team that has never won takes it all - Carolina, Arizona, maybe KC... (But not Cincinnati.) We'll see what happens.

That said, I do enjoy reading here, and commenting on what I feel qualified to comment upon, and do what contributing I can on the game day threads!

You know I've been watching football since I was a little girl in the 70s with my dad who never had a son, so I was his football buddy. I had no choice, it was the ritual in our household whenever the Steelers played. I learned A LOT from my dad, in fact everything. Now that I don't have him anymore, I really miss those times watching the games with him and having him explain the rules to me in words I understood. Me and my family inherited his season tickets, which was just as good as getting gold to me. Now having said all that, I STILL CAN'T TELL WHEN SOMEONE IS HOLDING!!!!!! I'll hear my son or husband saying "THAT'S HOLDING" and I'll be like .... "WHERE??? WHO??? HOW DO YOU KNOW???" So I know how you feel. I'm so ashamed!!!

So seeing as it's Wednesday, did the fines from Saturday's game go out yet? Was just wondering who got one from the Steelers and if Joey really did seeing as how they would have to fine the Bengals coaches too. I haven't heard anything.

I was also a little girl in the 70s and my dad was a big Redskins fan, and a sports fan in general. He didn't have a son, but he did play a lot of sports with me and my sister. I can still catch just about anything you throw at me, expected or not - he used to take us to the grocery store and we'd wait at the end of the aisle and he'd throw all the cans and boxes and such at us to put in the cart, even the ice cream and eggs and milk (though not from so far away). We never missed a thing. Anyway, he played sports with us but didn't make us watch with him - now I wish he had. He was very good at explaining things in a way I'd understand as well, and I'm sure I would have learned a lot from him. Unfortunately, he died just as I got interested in football, in 2001. Anyway, during games I like to listen to the radio call and troll the game day thread and watch the game later if we win. I am always amazed at how much everybody can see - it's all mostly a jumble to me; it's all I can do to keep my eye on the ball! You guys have like, super powers as far as I'm concerned.

Season tickets?!? Wow! How incredible. Me, I just hope to see a game in person someday...

Yes, even I could see that Burfict is a scumbag. That's a scary dude, and not in a good way - he just doesn't care.

And yes, I knew that the Chiefs had won a Super Bowl already but it was so long ago, it hardly counts anymore! :-) Better them than the Cheats or the Seahawks or Green Bay again, right?

Back in the day, it was ok for a guy to go out and party during the season. Bobby Layne was always blasted the night before a game, and he was seen as some sort of folk hero. When Johnny Football goes out, he's labeled as a worthless bum. Different era I guess.
