Count Steeler

The Pittsburgh Steelers, from their very core have always been a physical team. Strong defense and running the football are the lynch pins of this franchise.
What other teams don't seem to realize is that physical play does not mean you have to play dirty as well. For some reason, the NFL public also equates physicality with dirty play. It is not the same.
Burfict, Suggs, et al are not the same type of players that we have in Pittsburgh. I may be looking through Rose colored glasses, but I don't remember a Steeler playing with the intent to injure. Play hard, play physical, beat your assignment on a play, but no extra curricular activity to try and take out a player or end their career. Yes, injuries will happen and you know how many the Steelers have had in recent years, but playing with the intent to injure should not be tolerated in the NFL.
I am under no delusion that the NFL will get it, but I am sick and tired of people equating physicality with dirty play.
