Boswell carried the team and his kickoffs were equally important,

Shazam set the defense. He was great

Frenchy and Todman are a 2 headed backup tandem.

Even if it was very ugly, we can stop saying that we have no playoff win since 2010!

Only one person gets this game ball, because in the end, when we were on the edge of winning and losing, he got us exactly where we needed.

JOEY PORTER.

That smile on his face said it all. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Now, outside of Porter . . .

Bozwell. Think about how the story is exactly opposite tonight from the beginning of this year. We lost due to kicking, we won due to kicking.

The Running Backs deserve an honorable mention. Shazier does as well.

Ben Roethlisberger came in injured and drove the team far enough to get what we needed.

GOAT: my high blood pressure medicine. I don't think it's working after this game.

Shazier #1, tons of drive killing tackles and 2 timely forced fumbles that ended drives that looked like they were ending in scores, one of which should have been a fumble return for a TD if not for the refs having the yips.

O-line #2. Yes yes, the rush got to Ben a couple times. No, the Burfict sack isnt on the O-line, Ben held onto it for a while but i think we can all agree we live and die by him anyways. The run blocking was OUTSTANDING. Who the fuck would have thought Todman and Toussaint would have the game they had. Even Wallace chipped in for some key blocks. If someone told me before the game that we would run for 60 yards, I would have taken that in a heartbeat.

#3 Burfict and Pacman. LOL, thanks for the clutch 30 yards on the final drive

Showing some love to those who nobody thought would deliver:

Toussaint, Todman, and Bryant

Standing and delivering in the face of adversity:

Big Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown

Won us the game: Vontaze Burfict, Ryan Shazier, and Adam Jones.

BOZ!!!

Bryant, Shazier, T&T RBs, Burfict, I'll give one to Ben for playing hurt, but he played like shit before and after.

I'll give the goat to the pass blocking of the O-Line.

to be fair, many of the plays where the O-line gave him plenty of time had no receivers open

No, pacman went and bumped Joey in the back. Joey was mouthing with another player who accidentally bumped another Steelers coach/staff. The smile on Joey's face said he saw an opportunity and took it.

If the league wanted to send a message (they wont though) they should take draft picks away or do like they do in college and make them not able to play in the post season for a year because of the fans. Not gonna matter if they make it to the playoffs...always one and done.

Burfict pushed the "old" Steelers coach.
Joey cussed them out.
Then, Pacman pushed him.

It all started with Burfict. As it did all night long.

NOTE: Deion just defended Pacman Jones, saying that the flag should have been on Joey Porter.

Honestly, in watching that, I didn't think Burfict purposefully hit the Steelers coach. It looked incidental. Then Joey decided to be Joey (nothing wrong with what he did), and Pacman decided to be Pacman. His bump wasn't incidental.

Watch again.

Burfict reaches out and shoves the left shoulder of an old man who had already passed by him.

Regardless, even if Joey was talking trash, Pacman punches Porter. That's a flag 10 times out of 10.

Shazier was everywhere. Just like against SF. He picked a hell of a time to have another game like that. He should have had a touchdown on that fumble if the refs hadn't blown an early whistle.

Boswell was absolute money. He drilled all of those field goals and was smashing those kickoffs out of the end zone most of the night in pouring rain. He has to be our K of the future. Dude's a stud.

"TnT" as I heard them called on Twitter: Toussaint and Todman. Those two guys played their tails off. I was especially impressed with how hard both of them ran the ball, and even more impressed with Fitzy's pass blocking and pass catching. Tomlin was dead sure about this guy and he wasn't wrong.

Marty's catch. I don't know if it was a catch based on how the league calls them nowadays, but holy crap, I've never seen a catch like that.

Peezy for being a sly old bastard.

Bungles. For being themselves.

EDIT:

I'd be remiss if I didn't include Blake here for an honorable mention. All things considered, I thought he had his best game of the season.

Honestly, we used to thrive on plays like that, but as a team we had to scale this stuff back, albeit under protest. Now though, the shoe's on the other foot, and we have to accept calls like these as fact, no matter how much it contradicts countless NFL defensive greats of yesteryear.

I find it interesting that when we lose Tomlin gets 3 pages of goats and pink slips but when we make it to the playoffs despite all the injuries and adversity through the season; we come out with a win against a team that had every reason and the fire to win this game he doesn't get a single game ball.

It doesn't affect me one way or the other, just making an observation..

I do have to give coach props though. He and his team have kept their composure through the season and especially in Saturday night's game. More than that, they never quit.

I gave props to Tomlin after turning up the heat on him all season. It really has been a roller coaster of a season and right now Tomlin seems different after the Ravens loss. If we can bring Haley into the circle of consistently using one's brain to make decisions instead of a weather vane we might win the next game.
