In 2005 -2006 - the Steelers got to the SB:

1. As the 6th seed
2. Beat Cincy in the wild card round
3. Beat Peyton Manning in the next round
4. Beat Jake Plummer (who surprisingly beat the Pats the week before) - age 31, played college for a Pac10 team, playing currently for an AFC west team but was first drafted an NFC west team

TEN YEARS LATER...

1. We are the 6th seed
2. WILL beat Cincy in the wild card round
3. WILL beat Peyton Manning in the next round
4. WILL beat Alex Smith (who WILL surprisingly beat the Pats the week before) - is age 31, played college for a team that is now in the PAC 10, playing currently for an AFC west team but was first drafted by an NFC west team

Oh the irony, and in that same year we beat the seachickens in the Superbowl.

Wow...that's incredible. Who will come out of the NFC to make it to the SB? We have a good chance of having a SB rematch with any of our last 3 opponents of the last 10 years.

Steelers v. Seahawks (2005)

Steelers v. Cardinals (2008)

Steelers v. Packers (2010)

I would love revenge on the Packers, since we beat the other two birds.

I don't think the Packers are a strong enough team to make it.

To complete the Twilight Zone episode we would have to beat the Seahawks, with tons of controversy even though it really isn't as close a game as the final score will indicate.

The packers will likely lose against the redskins. They are the only team on the road in the wildcard round which is underdog.

The Packers would have been 3-7 in their last 10 games without the hail mary in Detroit.

Wow, if it all works out and we play the Chickens in the SB . . . well that would be pretty cool!

I'd like to see a Steelers/Redskins Super Bowl.

Here's the controversy:
Richard Sharman is flagged for mugging AB. And... since he can no longer shove AB to the ground, AB goes off: 12 receptions for 176 yards and 3 TDs.

Seahawks fans throw a fit, saying that Sherman should be allowed to tackle the receivers BEFORE they catch the ball.

They've been in X, XXX, XL, if they make it this year they'd have an appearance every 10 years (minimum) except the '80s.
