Chip Kelly (Eagles) was the first to go. Mike Pettine (Browns) went earlier this evening. Dan Campbell (Dolphins) supposedly isn't invited back in Miami (not official yet). Add Jim Tomsula (49ers) to the list after just one season in San Francisco.

Others rumored to be on the "hot seat": Tom Coughlin (rumored to be resigning on Monday) (Giants), Chuck Pagano (Colts), Sean Payton (Saints), Jim Caldwell (Lions), Mike Mularkey (Titans). Others to keep an eye on: Jeff Fisher (Rams), Mike McCoy (Chargers).

So at the moment there are openings in: Philadelphia, Cleveland and San Francisco. Get your paperwork in...

Well, I mean I HAVE been looking for a different career path... :chuckle:

So the 49ers basically admit they should've never hired Tomsula in the first place...what a joke.

This video pretty much sums up the Niners coaching search...

They're trying to save face for chasing Harbaugh out of town.

I don't think they can...they just have to admit the pay fucked up and move on...accept that they committed one of the biggest blunders in coaching move history...lol.

Word on the street is Chip Kelly's people reached out to San Fran, is now being considered for the job.

Talk about jumping from the pan into the fire...SF's leadership is in worse shape than Philly's. Can't imagine Chip lasting long there.

Mike Shanahan is showing interest in SF and Philly

I wouldn't want to hire Chip Kelly. He stripped Philly of some good talent and replaced that talent with lesser players. That alone would make me not want to hire him.

Saints would seek second-round pick for Sean Payton

Would you like Saints head coach Sean Payton to be your head coach in 2016? All it would take is a new contract and a second-round draft pick.

The pick, reported by NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport Monday, is the sticking point here. The Saints are obviously listening and could part ways with their Super Bowl-winning coach for the right price.

FOX Sports first noted that the Saints could be seeking a second-rounder for Payton.

Although some teams might scoff at losing a high draft choice, others could view it the same way head coaches do when former top-five picks become available in free agency. Sometimes, these players are worth the treasure trove of money simply because good players don't come around very often.

Give the Browns time. What else are they going to do with their draft picks? QB?

In a bit of a surprise to me, the Colts decided to give an extension to Chuck Pagano.

Surprise to me, too. All the rumors through the season was this was Pagano's last season and that he and the GM didn't get along.

I don't know how Jeff Fisher continues to keep his job here in St Louis. He hasn't had a winning season yet in 4 years. It seems that Stan Kroenke is too busy trying to move the team to LA to care about who the coach is.

If I would be a Colts fan,I would be upset that Irsay keep Grigson as GM.

Seriously, look at his draft, trade and free agents signing from his tenure(since 2012), this is awful.

Bye Lovie. SMH.

Never been a fan of Lovie, but dang that was very unexpected. The team seemed like it was on the upswing. Rookie QB and all. The players reacted on Twitter pretty harshly about the move before most of them backtracked and deleted the tweets.

Lovie Smith was 8-24(2014 and 2015) in his 2 years in Tampa Bay....The buccaneers were 11-21 in 2012 and 2013, so they were worse under Lovie Smith.

Browns got Hue Jackson, who was one and done in Oakland, 49ers get Chip Kelly out of the blue, Giants go with Ben McAdoo (who the Eagles wanted), the Eagles in turn go with former Eagles player, coach and Andy Reid protégé Doug Pederson.
