Hard to say. We've beat them both this year but Cincy has a record of one & done in the playoffs so I hope it's Cincy.

I hope that Denver wins.

Here's why:

Denver gets the 1 seed. That means that the Steelers would only have to play in New England in the AFCCG.

1. Beat Cincy. Hope that Houston beats KC.

2. Beat Denver. Hope that New England loses to Houston.

3. Pittsburgh @ Houston for the AFCCG.

But, most likely...

Pittsburgh @ New England for the AFCCG.

If KC and DEN lose, it'll be Denver, but this is unlikely.

It'll probably be the bengals.

Steelers can beat the Pats if they send 5 pass rushers and don't throw picks.

But I could go see it in person if they play Denver. :chuckle:

Yeah but are you good luck or an omen? I want to play the criminals cause I think I like our chances there. Plus I just feel like I hate that team and their fans soooooooooooo much it would just give me the right amount of pleasure to ruin their fluke season. I don't know, I just want a win and not be one and done! If the good Steelers show up they should beat anyone. I'm already nervous.

Much rather see them play Cincinnati. Since we'll probably insist on starting Blake again, and Denver showed they have that figured out for a free TD every time, I think the Bengals will do less damage before we pull him in the second half.

The Steelers do not do well with NE. The last 3 times they went to the SB - they avoided the Patriots.

As such, I would like the Steelers to avoid playing them until the end.

So - I want Denver to win and take the #1 seed. If Pitt gets by the Bengals, then they will face the Broncos in round 2 and leave either KC or Houston to face the Pats.

I recall about 10 years ago, an underdog Steelers team beat Jake the Snake and his Broncos in mile high at the AFC championship game. No Ryan Clark to worry about this year as well

This widespread notion is exactly why I want the Pats. We didn't "avoid" anyone, particularly in 2010 when we defeated a fierce division rival (Ravens) to advance to the AFCCG after trailing by 2 scores in the first half while they failed to sack up and let Butt Fumble and the Jets beat them in their own backyard.

Yeah, I wouldn't go anyway - the last time was a bad experience all around. $300 for a nosebleed seat only to have to put up with a couple of drunken asshole Broncos fans the ENTIRE game, only to watch our defense make Tebow look like an NFL QB.

Give me KC, their schedule is soft. Cincy's streak of consecutive seasons losing in the wildcard round is bound to end, and I am fearful their streak is bound to end given the odds
