My guess is he will wear a sweat suit on the sidelines as eagles coach

Rooney rule cleared early so they can hire the first guy they like. Total disrespect and bullshit

That's also what everyone was saying about the Tomlin interview.

Do I think they're hiring Staley? I highly doubt it, but he could have interviewed well and maybe they'll interview him again. He worked under both Reid and Kelly, so he was obviously good enough to be kept around.

And while yes, this does satisfy the Rooney Rule requirement, there's a good chance that the Eagles FO got good info out of the interview on how coaches view the players on the roster.

He was an easy inside interview. I doubt they have any serious intention of hiring him now or before the interview. I don't blame them I blame the process. The Rooney rule needs some tweaking but IDK how.

Obviously done just to meet the minimum requirement. Probably fired Kelly a week early so they could do that and have the inside track to make an offer to the real candidates. Yes, yes, jump through the hoop ...

Maybe by getting rid of it entirely? Racism has no place in professional sports. Even if it's wearing a PC mask, that's what it is - racism. Can you imagine if they had a rule saying you were required to interview at least one white candidate for every head coaching job? Enough said.

The eagles could be interested to Bill Cowher.Same for the Giants if Coughlin leaves.

I don't think Cowher is going to coach again.

I dont think Cowher will coach either but dont be surprised if the Giants made an offer. He is friends with the Mara family supposedly. He should get Whis and LeBeau and bring them to NY when the Titans hire Chip K

I don't think Cowher coaches again, but I also would not be totally shocked if he did. I just think working a day or two a week for a nice chunk of change, in a warm studio, not sleeping in an office is too good of a deal for him to walk away from. I just don't think he misses it, but you never know.

The former coach who's in the studio/booth who could go back to it is Gruden. He sounds like he missed it.

IF Cowher were to go back to coaching he should come back to Pittsburgh.

I don't think Cowher or Gruden (the two popular names in Philadelphia) return to coaching. They both have pretty soft, well paying gigs right now...
