SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick received high praise from ESPN analyst Ron Jaworski and managed to take it in stride.

"I truly believe Colin Kaepernick could be one of the greatest quarterbacks ever," Jaworski said Wednesday on ESPN. "I love his skill set. I think the sky's the limit."

Kaepernick was asked how he handles such lofty projections.

"I'm working," he responded. "To me, it's a great honor he said that. I'm very flattered by it. But at the same time, I haven't played a full season yet."

I like Jaws, but he is prone to overstatement!

But I do think this time he might be right!

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Blaine Gabbert received high praise from Ron Jaworski today when the ESPN analyst said on SportsCenter that the former backup and Jaguars starter could be “one of the greatest quarterbacks ever.”
“I truly believe Blaine Gabbert could be the greatest ever,” Jaworski said. “Think about it this way: the coaches who see him play every day have determined he is better than Colin Kaepernick. And Colin Kaepernick is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time. Logic says Gabbert is then the greatest ever, does it not?”
The longtime analyst and former Philadelphia Eagle then presented his five greatest quarterbacks of all-time.

“Blaine Gabbert, obviously is No. 1,” said Jaworski. “Then you have to go Kaepernick second. I say Chad Henne third, because he replaced Gabbert in Jacksonville, so he must be pretty damn good. For fourth, I’m going with an old Jugs machine I found at a garbage sale in 1989. And fifth? You know what, I’m going Ron Jaworski, former Eagles quarterback. He took that franchise to a Super Bowl, which is pretty hard to do in Philadelphia.”
Jaworski was asked by the host if he was kidding and he insisted he was not. After a few moments of silence, the network went to commercial and then returned with an unscheduled episode of First Take.
Gabbert said he was flattered by Jaworski’s words, but knows he has a lot of work to do to live up to them.
“It’s going to be tough,” said the new starter. “I’ll do my best, but it’s really hard to ever meet the expectations of the clinically insane. I know. I played for Jim Harbaugh for a year.”

This from the Sports Pickel. It's a humor site folks, just trying to lighten the mood. :chuckle:

Here's an interesting stat. In the 4 games since the bye Markus Wheaton has caught 22 balls for 378 yards and 3 td's. In the 10 games prior to the bye he caught 16 passes for 273 yards and 1 td.

This is despite the fact that Bryant has missed 5 games, Ben missed four games and Brown was not the same with Vick and Wheaton was a non-factor before the bye since he was forgetting because of Ben's injury.

With the quality of Bell as receiver(850 yards as receiver last year), Roethlisberger and the steelers will maybe break some records next year if the offense stays healthy.

That could quite possibly be the worst written article in the history of journalism...lol. Terrible.
