The moment where the Steelers became the Steelers as we've known them.

After further review, this was incomplete as Franco tossed the ball and didn't complete the catch.

Game over.

No dynasty for you.

Happy belated Immaculate Reception Day!

.......and the Raiders are the greatest team of all time! NOT!!!!! :tongue1:

There is such a sever case of red ass over this play with the Raiders. They didn't take it well.

The Raiders constantly bitch and moan about it....getting robbed by the officials....Frenchy touched it.......Franco trapped it......there weren't enough police on hand to prevent a riot if the call went against the Steelers.....:deadhorse:

But, they always fail to mention Dave Casper's "I'll push and roll the ball forward until it reaches the end zone and then I'll fall on it for a TD" famous play.

Just lose baby!

Merry Christmas silver & black!

Sorry. Didn't mean to stir up bad memories. Every time I think of this play, I also think of NFL films and the comments of Raiders players and coaches talking about it. They are definitely not happy and will never fully get over it!

I personally don't think it would have changed anything that happened after that day, but the Raiders are convinced that they would have won the Super Bowl that year and would have become the greatest team of all time historically.

It wasn't meant to be.
