Just wondering. I know Bell's injury had him out for the season, but my question is, if healthy, would he be able to play in play-offs ? I'm not sure how season ending injuries work/apply to play-offs. Thanks.

No. He's on IR which means no playoffs either.

Nope. IR means you're done. See you in 2016 training camp.

He wouldn't be able to play anyway. A completely torn MCL that needed surgery, you can probably sort of walk around on it by now, but you're talking more like 5 or 6 months before you're completely back to normal and can do things like play football.

He might be lucky to even participate in 2016 training camp. Playing one late preseason game and being ready for the opener seems more likely.

Thank God for DeAngelo Williams!

I am guessing DW will get the majority of snaps he first game or 2 of 2016 also. With little training camp and preseason, they will want to bring him up to speed slowly I would think.

I agree. Two years, two knees, both against the Bengals. Unbelievable.

The one last year, as I remember, was just a football play. This year, Burfict was, and remains, an ass.

Thanks all for the answers. Pretty disheartening though thinking Bell isn't going to light 'em up for almost mid 2016 season. Crap

The way I hear it, seeing as how it was "just" his MCL, and the ACL was untouched that he should be good to go by the time OTA's come around. Missing any or part of training camp is not even being thought of as a remote concern.

Football play but he still dove straight for his knee. I won't forgive either of them or Mark Barron.

But as Harrison once said, to avoid any possibility of a fine he will go as low as possible. Thank Goodell.
