Too much damage done to this team by injuries for me to take it too seriously as a trap game. That being said, I think we won't dominate them as thoroughly as many fan's liking.

Steelers 31
Ravens 21

B. Roethlisberger 330 yards, 3 TD's
D. Williams 95 yards, 1 TD

I dunno - this one worries me more than the Broncos game to be honest. I hope to hell after two very big wins that they don't come out flat. I'll never underestimate the Ravens.

The Ravens is never a trap game. Never. On the flip side, due to that mirrored hatred, the Ravens will come out in full force.

Ultimately, it'll come down to the QBs. Clausen is just as likely to throw an INT as he is a completion. Whereas, BB will shred that putrid Ravens secondary.

Clausen: 21/39 for 275, 2 TDs, 2 INTs
BB: 29/51 for 460, 5 TDs

Steelers: 41
Ravens: 17

i can see the steelers coming out flat for at least one of these games, but not "oh my god we could lose" flat.

without terrell suggs, joe flacco, justin forsett, and steve smith, they dont resemble the ravens to me anymore.

The Ravens may not be the same Ravens, but they're still the Ravens.

They still have Harbitch as coach, and he would want nothing more that spoil the Steelers.

1. Win out
2. Go Bengals

The #5 seed means playing the Texans/Colts. Then, the next game would be against the #2 seed. Finally, the Steelers wouldn't have to play the Taperiots until the AFCCG.

And, trust me, the NFL wants a Steelers-Taperiots AFCCG.

polamalubeast
12-21-2015, 07:13 AM
I prefer to finish in the 5 seed and face the AFC South winner that finish in the 3rd seed and face the Jets or Broncos

It was the same thing last year(It would have been better to lose the game against the Bengals in week 17 to play in Indianapolis in the playoffs)

This one is tough because this Ravens squad looks nothing like it did last game. I have a feeling it won't be a blowout but probably never in doubt either. Jimmy Clausen under center in Baltimore bodes well for our defense and their secondary is almost as bad as ours.

Well the question is, do we hope for a Cincy collapse to take the AFCN or do we want the 5th seed more? If we take the North, we most likely play the Chiefs at home, if we get the 5th seed we would travel to Houston most likely. I can see us winning both games honestly. Hell at this point I can see us in the AFCCG with little issue. As far as the Ravens, they are way too beat up at this point to really pose a threat. We just really have to come out of these last 2 games healthy is my only concern.

678807505221365760 If Steelers and Chiefs win out and Bengals beat the Broncos next week, Steelers would be 5 seed and play at Texans/Colts in first round . Steelers can clinch a playoff spot next week with a win over the Ravens and a Jets loss to the Patriots.

so if you guys are cheering for getting the 5th seed, you're anticipating the bengals actually end up being the #2 seed? i think itll be the broncos, and id rather just go through the patriots as the 6th seed if we get that far and after that i dont even care

Playing the Colts/Texans is the closest thing to a bye week the Steelers are going to get, that's why I want the 5th seed.

the colts/texans will be the easiest game we could possibly play for the wild card round, but most likely will force us to play at mile high, which could end up being one of the hardest places for us to play in the playoffs. before people get all cocky they need to remember we won by one score at home.

If there are no huge upset and the Bengals win in Denver, the Chiefs will win the AFC west, bengals will be in the second seed and the steelers will be in the 5th seed.Impossible that the Steelers play in Denver before the AFC title game if the Chiefs and Steelers win their last two game and the Broncos beat the 4-10 Chargers at home.

Let's keep in mind that all Baltimore is interested in at this point is ruining the Steelers season. They held back against the Chiefs just to hurt the Steelers and now with a chance to take a blow to the Steelers playoffs chances, this is their Super Bowl

as long as were going through the soft part of our schedule, id like to see the back up RB's get some work. Deangelo is getting a decent amount of carries with no relief in the games he has started (19.5 carries per game).

I don't mind the calls to ease back the playing time a bit, but we still need to win out to get into the playoffs, we can't take even this depleted level of team for granted. They will come to play like they always do. I would love for our defense to make 2 more statement games heading into the playoffs. While I hope for no more injuries, we certainly can not play scared to not get hurt. I also hope AB can rack up another Bronco/Raider performance to he can break the reception and receiving yards record this year.

Sorry, I can't get into that frame of mind. I've seen this team ( as all of you have), get beat and sometime blown away by teams we should have smoked. Come on people, look back at our schedule and past seasons, and how many times have you seen this team play DOWN to the opponent and LOSE ! I quit looking for the 'so called' best scenario for us. I hate the bungholes so I want them to lose all of the time. Hopefully bronco's rip them up Monday night. As far as the Steeler's go, well, they should have won their games against the ratbirds and the bungholes, 2 bull crap loses. Now, I just hope they win 1 game at a time to get to the SB. Agreed, there is no such thing as a sure win as long as Mike Tomlin is the head coach. Last year this team lost to a 2-14 Succaneers team at home for crying out loud. Plus, this is Baltimore's Super Bowl, they will go all out to try and win this game. All they have to play for right now is to try and ruin the Steelers playoffs chances. They tanked against the Chiefs because a Chiefs win would have helped the Steelers playoff chances, all while saving energy for next week. Plus, playing a team with a bad record on the road coming off an emotional home win against a really good team is a situation Tomlin coached teams have struggled with time and time again.

"We're going into the lion's den in Baltimore Maryland, it's going to be a hostile environment.

I imagine even if we throw it 40 to 49 times there is still going to be some bludgeoning along the way. A lot of times familiarity doesn't breed comfort, they have a rough and tumble crew up front.

Such is life in the Steeler-Raven series, classic AFC North warfare."

Ok. That's funny.

To be honest, while I'm confident the Ravens lose, I think they have a better shot with Clausen then they would have had with Shaub. Not much more, but a little. Simply way too many lost players to get a W on a good team. Final will probably end up like the Seahawks game.

But I'm not bitter. You cannot go to the playoffs every year, and every now and again (unless you're Cleveland), you have a stinker. Sad, but true. At least as far as this rivalry goes, the worst we get is a split. I would normally say "let's have a great hard-hitting game but no major injuries", but the way things have been in 2015, Baltimore will probably lose Yanda or Tucker.

I do not remember one time this year that everyone was confident that the Steelers would win the next game!

This year, the Steelers were ready to play in every game this year with the exception maybe of the game against the Patriots because of the problem of the commucation in defense.

In the 5 losses, 2 it was with a backup QB,one it was against the pats and the 2 others was against the seahawks and vs Bengals with a rusty Roethlisberger...If the team is ready to play and that the steelers make few mistake, the Steelers will win.

Not believing the hype at all. This is a deadly trap game with everyone crowning the Steelers offense as the greatest of all time. I just don't see it that way. Their good but not that good. Defense has put points on the board for this team and have given them some short fields to work with. Teams below .500 are Tomlin's nemesis. It will take a professional and focused effort to beat the Ravens. This is not a gimme in my mind and I hope the players don't treat it that way. They need to play and hone their A-game if they want to take this into the playoffs. Here's hoping they come out on top and unscathed.

The 9-6 Seahawks just finished getting swept for the season yesterday by a sub-.500 division rival themselves, are currently 2-3 against their own division (just like the Steelers), yet they're already locked in as a wild card too.

Again, "deserve" has got nothing to do with it.
