Mike Tomlin likes to think out of the box — sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. One has worked better than even he expected.


After the Steelers piled up 44 penalties for 387 yards through the first four games last year, including 13 for 125 in a loss to the lowly Buccaneers, Tomlin decided to have referees officiate their practices.


Well, it was more like having them on the field in uniform than actually officiating, but it has worked wonders.........

Just more evidence Tomlin's lost the team. If he was more disciplined, he wouldn't have had to bring in the refs.
