Among the hot topics around the NFL this week is the league’s hottest offense, the one in which the Steelers have averaged nearly 36 points a game over the past month.


But Nov. 1, when they first played the Cincinnati Bengals, it was the Steelers defense that turned in one of its best performances this season while the Steelers now-grand offense laid an egg in a 16-10 loss at Heinz Field.


If their defense can play a similar game Sunday in Cincinnati and get just a little more help from the NFL’s No. 2 offense – even half of what it’s averaged over the past month – it could turn into a different result. For sure, they would have to feel good if they held the Bengals, the NFL’s fourth-highest scoring team, to 16 again.........
