Steelers coach Mike Tomlin made clear his plan to explore options in the secondary after another poor performance by Antwon Blake and Ross Cockrell.

Tomlin also made it known he was going to give Blake and Cockrell an opportunity to rebound.

Wednesday must have been that rebound day.

The Steelers returned to the practice field for the first time since allowing Seattle's Russell Wilson to pepper their secondary for 345 yards and five touchdowns in a 39-30 loss, and Tomlin didn't reshuffle the secondary.

“Nothing changed in my role, and I didn't see much change in anybody else's role during practice,” Cockrell said. “It pretty much seemed to be the same.”

The question remains: Will it remain status quo for a secondary that has allowed three consecutive 300-yard passing games for the first time since the end of the 2002 season?

This article is like painting with a broad brush. Tomlin never paints it with a broad brush. We accept that.
