As the Steelers and Seahawks are set to renew their Super Bowl XL rivalry this weekend, a Black and Gold fan living in Seattle lays out a completely objective forensic analysis of that controversial championship matchup from a decade ago and concludes that the 12s should stop their whining. What say you, Seattle?

Lost cause.

DA STEALERS PAYED DA REFS! :chuckle:

(Never minding that Paul Allen could buy and sell the Rooneys about 100 times over...)

"Oh, but we would've won if only we'd gotten those calls AND everything else in the game went the way we hoped!"

They're seriously STILL all butthurt over it.

lmao, you scored 10 points.

The Steelers made the bigger plays from the ARE to Hines Ward TD to FWP's record run from scrimmage. That's what won the game, plus their WR kept dropping the ball.

No no no. They would've had more points if they didn't get the penalties and the Steelers would have less points!!!

Heath Miller got called for a Pass Interference call on a Bettis reception that was a bull shit call. After that, Ben got sacked making it 2nd and 20 or something like that. Ben converted the next play on a 37 yard pass to Hines Ward that lead to the Roethlisberger TD run. Penalties or not, the Seahawks weren't making any plays regardless of the situation.

Add the 4 points for the OPI on Jackson and the score is 21-14. Add in another 3 points for the missed 54 FG at the half...21-17. Give them another 3 for another missed FG and the score is 21-20...still a loss for the Seahawks...lol.

I am amused by Cryhawks fans bitching about the game. They lost by double digit points and played horribly yet think they should have won the game. Also regardless of whether or not the OPI call and the holding call on the chokehold were correct or not (and by the very definition, they were), they were simple 10-yard penalties that could have been overcome. After all, the Steelers were tagged with a holding penalty deep in Seattle territory leading them to 3rd and 28 yet they converted and scored on the drive. Look at the rematch in 2007. Opening drive in the 2nd half, Steelers up 7-0. Steelers get called for THREE holding penalties on the SAME DRIVE and they STILL SCORED A TOUCHDOWN on that drive (they didn't use it as an excuse to play horrible football then bitch about the refs for the rest of eternity like Seattle would have done). The fact that that Seattle team viewed 10 yard penalties as insurmountable is further proof that they weren't championship material

They are worse than the Cryboys incessant bitching about SB XIII.
