I personally don't care what Browns fans think, they WANT Johnny football to start . . . what does that tell you about their expectations? If we lose this game, we will lose from mistakes and bad plays and turnovers. Their offense is terrible, there def is not much better. They need to rebuild their team again, and probably draft another 1st round QB as they still don't have a franchise QB yet. They have been picking in the top 10 for, what, 20 seasons in a row and they still can't field a competitive team? People complain about our drafts, but we draft in the second half ALWAYS and we still pick better all the time. The only reason they think they could win is because we are without our starting QB (and backup actually), starting center, LT and start RB . . . how low of expectations do you need to have to know the only chance you have to win is if half the other team is injured . . .

I laugh when Browns' fans try to tell me Cleveland and Pgh are similar....when, in 1970? That town is a dump. It is a microcosm of America's plunge into poverty. Where there was once manufacturing jobs, that paid fairly well, those jobs are 80% gone. Pgh is still a pretty nice city, compared to Cleveland it's gorgeous. I remember when CLE was hopping with places like the Flats. But I guess most of the industrial jobs disappeared so now few have $ to spend. The Flats have been literally bulldoze to the ground.

I'd say it goes deeper than that, even. They may have won a few games in the 70's, but the decade ended with us winning 4 rings and them never even sniffing the big show.

The 80's started with us both being mediocre and then for a brief time in the later 80's the Browns were finally the better team in the Marty/Bernie era. But soon after that era, we had our Cowher era, and we were clearly the better team for all of that decade all the way to today. So, for most of 4 decades we were superior, other than for maybe 5 years total in that span. No wonder we are in their heads. And, it's not like we were a little better; we usually contend for the div title most years while they are consistently near the worse team in the entire NFL almost every season. Quite a discrepancy.

The Browns should be demoted. They are not deserving of NFL status. All those high draft picks have done nothing for that organization. I do feel sorry that they were blatantly ripped of a title when the millionaires moved their team to Baltimore. But since then, the rebuilding has been a disaster. If I were a fan of them, I wouldn't be. How they can support such inept and substandard progress is beyond belief. When your bad in the NFL, it's very bad. Steelers will get there soon enough if they don't bother to search for Ben's successor in the coming 2 seasons.

No way. We have almost never been Browns' bad, even without a QB. We have been respectable almost every year, even with Malone, O'Donnell, Brister, Kordell, Tomczak, etc. We won't win another ring without a good QB, but we won't all-of-a-sudden just be as bad as the Browns. They pick in the top 5 picks of the draft almost every year. Since the 70's how many times have we picked in the top 5?
