It seems the sweat equity invested by Jarvis Jones is beginning to pay dividends.


The third-year linebacker has endured scrutiny since the Steelers selected him with the 17th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. He was slowed by injuries during the past two seasons, including a damaged wrist that landed him on injured reserve for nine games last season.


Jones, who secured the starting job ahead of 37-year-old James Harrison, was forced to sit during a 25-13 win over Arizona in Week 6 because of a sore hip. However, Jones appears to have progressed since his return. In a 16-10 defeat to AFC North leader Cincinnati last Sunday, he wasn't haunted by the bouts of inconsistency that caused some observers to characterize him as a draft bust..........
