We already got Mike Vick and I think Rice has deserved a second chance. He's a Pro-Bowl caliber RB and likely won't cost much since no one else is willing to sign him.

I would've brought Rice in before Pead. I'd also had brought him in before Vick if all things were equal.

Sure. And while they're at it, they can sign Leonard Little for D-line depth. Then they can change the name of the team to the Pittsburgh Bengals.

Fuck that piece of shit. I hope somebody knocks him out the same way he likes to punch on women.

No, Rice WAS a Pro Bowl-caliber RB. His play and productivity had fallen off a cliff even before the domestic violence flap which is the real reason why the Ravens severed ties with him in the first place and is also the reason no other team will touch him at this point. He'd be about as useful to the Steelers now as Vick was...in other words, not at all.

Rice was on the decline anyway and I've learned my lesson on wanting guys who used to be good or solid. I was all on board for Mike Vick and that became a disaster so I would shy away from Rice if I were in charge.

Only if we also sign Hope Solo as a kickoff specialist. That would be fun!

In all seriousness, I wouldn't want Rice with or without the baggage. He was playing like total shit his last season. 3.1 yards per carry, with a full-time workload. He lost whatever made him good well before his off-field problems.

Hope Solo, Mike Vick and Ray Rice would be quite the trio.

any chance we could trade for Greg Hardy also?

I wouldn't be surprised if Tomlin signed Ben Tate and hands it off to him the first series because it worked so well in the playoffs against the Ravens earlier this year. /sarcasm

Signing Vick was one of Tomlin's dumbest moves. Let's add another poor addition to the roster. Although, I will admit at least Rice can play his position.

I'd give Bettis a chance before Rice.
