As a Hall of Fame receiver who made a living burning defensive backs for five National Football League teams, James Lofton knows a big-play receiver when he sees one. And, as a former 200-meter and long-jump champion at Stanford, he also recognizes smooth speed when he sees it.

That’s what he saw when he watched Martavis Bryant catch a 10-yard slant pass from Landry Jones against the Arizona Cardinals and turn it into his third touchdown of at least 80 yards in less than one full season with the Steelers.

“Patrick Peterson is supposed to be fast, and he pulled away from him,” Lofton said, referring to the Cardinals cornerback who tried to catch Bryant on his 88-yard touchdown. “He ran out of bounds like, ‘I can’t catch that guy.’”............

Bryant could be special. Just got to keep his act right...hoping that the Steelers retain him, but I'm scared that they may try to low ball him and he'll walk.

When Ben is back and is healthy, I think we could see an offense on par with the 2007 Cheatriots.

I am starting to get a bit angry that they haven't signed him to a lifetime contract yet.

DON'T LET THIS GUY WALK AWAY!

You're probably kidding, but I think the CBA prohibits signing him to another contract yet. I have a feeling they'll at least be picking up the 5th year option with the time comes.

What's crazy is we have a #3 and #4 WR and a rookie #5 that has more depth than that team as well as a good TE*

Also, we have TWO RBs that are better than that team*

Can't wait!

Little early IMO for the Randy Moss comparisons and if he does turn out to have Moss-Talent, he won't be with the Steelers...they won't have the money to pay Brown and Bryant...until Ben is gone...
